How do you spend most of your sundays? I either watch or play cricket. Out in the fresh, with good people, and good cricket. Few jars afterwards or during.....

Good to see Hoppo in the runs, he needs to start contributing with the bat a bit more. He can't make the side just because of his fielding.

Is Luke Wright fit and playing these games?

i believe he is - not much of note yet but i'm expecting good things from him this year - he is certainly one of our important players now i think...

We need him to make a big impact with the ball this year, hopefully we'll keep him batting a bit furthur down the order at 8 like the South Africans used to use Klusener until he couldn't bowl anymore.

Exciting news from the AGM....


Following the AGM the traditional Members' Forum took place and Graeme Hawkins, a partner of the Club's Architects 'Miller Bourne', presented visual plans and artist's impressions of the proposed redevelopment of the facilities at the Sea End of the ground. The scheme includes a new Gilligan pavilion and catering facility, new public seating in the south west corner, a development of flats and offices, and possibly the pub. There were various questions from members and the Chairman closed by emphasising that
the scheme would only proceed subject to planning permission, and a detailed financial plan which would result in no ultimate reduction of the asset of Spen Cama legacy funds as shown in the balance sheet.
