OK CTS but dropping him will mess up the sweepstake even more than Hoppo's managed already.
Seriously though, his batting has often been a bit lightweight but it's early days yet this season and I heard somewhere yesterday that Yardy was the cause of his ro in the 1st innings.

His batting has been lightweight in the 4 day game for a while. I like him down the order in the one day format as he's shown he can score runs but he's NOT an opener by any stretch of the imagination.

One of Prior and Hodd needs to decide to hang up the gloves or we're f*cked I reckon. I'd hope it would be Prior to be honest as I don't think there's any point trying to get back into the English side as a keeper for him, though he could be considered as a specialist batsman. If he does then Hodd can keep wicket, if he doesn't then I think Hodd might have to do it.

I just want to avoid losing Hodd like we did Ambrose.

when I spoke to Hodd in the pub the other week, he was genuinely gutted about losing his spot. He said he was going to try and force his way back to 1st choice keeper, no indication of leaving. Shame you were in the bogs Max, would have been good to have you there too

To be fair, i don't think Hopkinson is as bad as some of you make out.

Admittedly, the fact that he's just been runout for the second time, for a duck, would suggest otherwise - but i'm sure he's got what it takes to prove the doubters wrong.

However, he is NOT an opener.

To be fair, it may have been Nash's fault!

according to a text from the ground... "And now Muzz hooks the last ball before tea straight down fine leg's throat. Twat."
