Good stats . So, statistically we should probably play it out wide then get the cross in ... so long as it's not back to our keeper!Last season 16 free kick goals in 380 PL games = 0.04 free kick goals per game

But I do quite like his ballet-style lifting up and standing on his tippy-toes just before he takes it!Dunk seems not to have any conviction or confidence in any free kick he takes ,
It's all a bit too much drama for me (unless that's in my head), too predictableDunk seems not to have any conviction or confidence in any free kick he takes ,
Seen videos of him knuckleballing them into the top corner in training. Frustrating he's never managed to do it properly in a game.Watkins was saying how good Dunk is at free kicks in training so maybe one will go in one day!
Yeah, it's mental...Seen videos of him knuckleballing them into the top corner in training. Frustrating he's never managed to do it properly in a game.
Anyone who thought this experiment was finally over had an unexpected treat today!
Then we should play it wide and get the cross straight in.... to Muric's hands...ohDirect freekicks are very, very rarely scored in the Premier League these days.
Only 11 direct freekicks were scored in the Premier League in TOTAL last season, an all-time low. That's down from 18 in the previous season.
If Dunk is the best we have in training, so be it, let him have a pop... whoever takes it is equally unlikely to score, statistically.
And don't forget our new decoy corner routine. Get the ref involved in lots of jostling in the 6 yard box and then the cunning plan of knocking it short to Ferdi who's got no idea about the plan! Then we should play it wide and get the cross straight in.... to Muric's hands...oh
It would help if he didn’t smash it straight at the wall though - free kicks have a much better chance of going in if they actually go over the wall if that was the intention.Direct freekicks are very, very rarely scored in the Premier League these days.

Comes to something when I don't even want a free kick given to us in a dangerous position because it wastes about 3 minutes a time and you know the bloody outcome!

We very rarely try anything different from a free kick , such as play it down the side of the wall to cross into a crowded box. We always blast it into the wall or over. I thought we had a new man working on our dead ball situations ?
