No love lost between Simon Jordan and Steve Parish...the battle of the bouffants.

Is Jordan insinuating that Parish is a lady?

So how come you've got f**k all to show for it?
Depends what your standards are. In the last 50 years, Albion spent four years in the top league, rather less than they spent in the bottom two. They reached but one Cup Final (and Semi-Final).
Palace have spent 17 years in the Top Division and only three below the second tier. We've reached two FA Cup Finals and four Semi-finals. Also got to the League Cup s/f.
We've REALLY missed out on Johnstone's Paint and The Freight Rover Mugs though.

Beyond the rivalry as like a few on here I know quite a few Palace fans. Well I do live up here.
I've never understood Palace. That ground.
It's gone beyond "old school" into borderline condemned. These days it doesn't even grace league one.
Most clubs would have least attempted to renew a stand or two. Their time in the top league would have been the time to do it.
If they get relegated what do the owners do ? Wait for it to simply fall down ?
I know that's easy to say with out infrastructure - but Watford and Burnley are better.
Never got that.
Can't understand why they haven't gone ok - I've gonna use that Premier League money to improve the ground. If we go down well that will help bring back our fickle fans in the championship.
There appears to be absolutely no long term sustainable future, They obviously have the ability to bring through players - but will always struggle every year or so.
Its almost as if the place is designed to be a yo yo club.
Odd.
44 out of nearly 100, most of which were actually before World War Two. How many seasons in the last 50 years, pray?
And of those seasons in only TWO out of FIFTY did Albion play at a higher level.
So how come you've got f**k all to show for it?
Palace have MADE UP THE NUMBERS for 17 years in the Top Division and only three below the second tier. We've LOST two FA Cup Finals and two more Semi-finals. Also LOST the League Cup s/f.

Add to that their academy training at a public 'goals' centre.....laughable really. That was one of their real strengths in days gone by, not so much these days I suspect.Lets take the AMEX out of the equation.
You must look around all the stadiums in the top 2 divisions and wish you had some of that.
Some historical greatness, Newcastle Villa, etc, that's fair enough very few teams can compete with those grounds.
But being jealous of some of the shitkicker clubs like Southampton, Reading, Stoke, Cardiff, Boro, has got to be such a kick in the teeth.
That's before we even take into account the League 1 teams, and training on a municipal park.
Palace are paying huge wages because players do no want to go there. If they go down they could go into administration.

These are last years wages.
Just wondered how much you threw (away) at a Continental club for him.
I love that article PALACE WAGES REVEALED ... according to Football Manager
I know FM is very accurate but it is just shite reporting

Not bad going for a Football Club only formed 7 years ago.
BHA, solvent and paying their way since 1901. Palace?44 out of nearly 100, most of which were actually before World War Two. How many seasons in the last 50 years, pray?
