Here, I tend to shop at Tesco's, one big advantage being that I can order online and have it delivered at a time of my choice for a £5 charge.

I can't believe I'm posting about supermarkets on a Friday night!

Grocery shopping comes from Morrisons. It's cheap, but the fresh stuff has very short sell buy dates & won't last the week. I don't like the veg all pre-packed. Use Morrisons as it has an HSBC branch in it.

Tescos for the fresh stuff. Good quality & lasts all week. Car park slopes & I have a few near-misses.

M&S for lunch every day. Co-op for mid week stock ups.

Only used Asda when kids were little as clothes were good.

But given the choice, I'd use Sainsburys.

gwylan raises an interesting point about the quality of food in the uk. it is poorer than other countries. check out an egg yolk in say , spain:bright orange, tastes great. here: watery yellow, tastes ok. fruit is rubbish these days too. looks nice, tastes of feck all.

have waitrose changed their layout again? years of experience were washed down the drain last time, and they moved the papers to a less convenient 20 minute browse section.

safeway is cheap, the food is rubbish, but the piss heads are entertaining.
