Made it to the end and stayed to clap the teams off. ;)

Happy for ex-Texan Hopkins to get a TD for the Chiefs in garbage time.

But in truth, they were comprehensively outplayed from the start by the Eagles. A class above. Fly Eagles Fly.
Fine effort sir. Up at 5:45am for the second half was my contribution here!

Glad the Eagles won (yikes did I just type that?). Philadelphia has the best roster in football right now, and have been the best team, they are the deserved champions.

The Chiefs have been a fraud all season, somehow squeaking their way to the bowl without convincingly beating anyone of note. Good to hear that MAGA Mahomes and his wretched family got their asses handed to them on a plate. I’m also glad I didn’t watch any of this game too.

Congratulations Philadelphia, the NFC East is back! Looking forward to resuming battle with you next season, you have set the bar and now we have to try and find a way to beat it. Raise Hail!

Well

Fantastic result by my boys

Supporting a side is “ through thick and thin” and the last few years have been a roller coaster, but last night was an absolute demolition and this is one of the best philli sides there have been

FLY BIRDS FLY.

Gave up at half-time.

If ever a team looks like it could go to a 3-peat it’s Philly, strong organisation and exceptional general manager with an excellent drafting strategy.
Just a great team.

Through gritted teeth of course….. can’t stand them…..

Well done @Dave the OAP true fan.

It would be churlish to not congratulate you Dave. What ever you are paying Howie Roseman, double it, he has put together a frighteningly balanced roster that threaten to dominate for a while. The best team in the NFL at the moment and it is not close. Glad the Chiefs were embarrassed, and I kind of thought that was what you're going to do to them.

Looking forward to a rivalry renewed next season!

I totally agree. There is no weak link in that team We played some ugly winning games to start off with but you could see what he was trying to achieve and once we started to put the run together, it became like trying to stop a juggernaut.

These last two games , championship and SB. Were two of the most efficient demolition of decent sides I have seen in a long time

You are right, this could be a force for a while

Wonder what would have happened if Detroit hadn't lost virtually all their de-fence to injury during the season...

We would have walloped the Chiefs and the NFC Championship game vs the Eagles at home would have been a game for the ages I'm sure...

Well done Philly tho...WORLD CHAMPIONS don't cha know, or maybe Trump will re-name them CHAMPIONS OF THE UNIVERSE !!

After 35+ years of watching the SB religiously, I've really struggled to be bothered for the last 2 or 3. Last night I didn't bother at all, purely because of who was playing. No fan of either side, but glad Philly put a stop to the Chiefs three-peat bid. KC have been riding their luck all year in some games.
Good point.
Their luck well and truly ran out…..
Long may it continue.
Would much prefer Bengals, Bills or Ravens representing the AFC

I watched Fox coverage for a change just to see how the Yanks take their Superbowl. Unwatchable unless you're American. If it's not an advert break it's some kind of feature about how great America is. They probably don't realise how much propaganda is pumped into their faces all the time, but it does get a bit sickening after a while.
Here's Brad Pitt, star of the soon to be released Apple feature film telling us how great we are.
Here's Lady GaGa surrounded by stars telling us about more heroes.
And those poor guys stood on the field with pictures of their lost ones. American Heroes.
All this brought to you by, I cant remember but it was plastered all over their desk.

As a Raiders fan who has suffered through Chiefs wins the past two seasons, that was absolutely beautiful viewing last night.

Big question going into that game was would the Mahomes X-Factor of pulling off ridiculous BS alone be enough to overcome the strengths of that Eagles defence and Fangio's scheming, and we got a very definitive answer. An absolute mauling from the front four of their D-line without ever having to blitz, put Mahomes under constant pressure - even on the run where he excels at improvising - and forcing errors throughout. Coupled with the O-line giving Hurts all the time to pick holes in the Chiefs secondary, it was a masterclass. A well run organisation who have consistently drafted well, made the most of the Giants letting Saquon go and bringing in the coaching staff to get the best out of their god squad of a defence as possible paid dividends.

And as @Hotchilidog said, couldn't happen to a more loathsome team both from how they've become the modern day Patriots on the field, to how they've been off it. As he alluded to, Mahomes' family (his see you next Tuesday of a brother especially) are the closest thing the NFL has to John Terry and his relatives for dislikability, the sucking up to the Donald during media week, and all of them spending the off-season defending their misogynist of a kicker, Harrison Butker, after his speech at a College graduation ceremony which made Alan Brazil look like a choirboy in comparison. No one deserved to take an L on the biggest stage as them.

Half-time show musically was not for me, but love the subtle (and not so subtle) ways in which Kendrick absolutely buried Drake in their ongoing feud once and for all.

I went to bed with 8 mins left of 4th Quarter after Philly had just added a field goal to make it 40-6. No way back from that.

I'm not surprised KC bagged a couple of consolation TDs late on. The celebrations and the tears had already started in the 3rd Qtr.

The final score flatters KC. I've watched most Superbowls since 1983 and last night was right up there for a one-sided shillacking with the Bears battering the Pats and 49s unloading on the Broncos.

Tom Brady must have been quietly smiling to himself. Mahomes will never match his greatness after suffering a beating like that.

I enjoyed the Itv coverage and it's over the top loud mouthed Yanks. Is every American on a daily coke allowance? I particularly enjoyed it when they brought the Oirish kicker(?) into the studio for 5 mins of beautiful incomprehensible gobbledegook. A welcome relief. Disappointed with the lack of Cheerleader tottie shown but the game itself was fun (what v little I understood). Won £55 on Eagles to score in each quarter, yay. Half time music was shite, when does rap ever translate well to a mega stage? Lame. Bring back Tom Petty (from the dead) next one please.

I never think rap like this works in big stadia shows.

It’s a bit dull.

Is this the support act?

The headliner isn't going to get very long.

This is a load of crap, bring on the game!

This Kendrick feller is the best American music has to offer is he ? I mean, I don't wish to sound like a moany old git* but this is utter garbage.

*Actually....

God this is boring.

Oh hang on, we know this one!

Half time show sponsored by Angel Soft. Because it was sh*t

That was awful.
There's no way I'm seeing all of these comments, this was one of THE GREAT cultural moments of our time.

The messages inside the performance with Samuel L Jackson as Uncle Sam, the direction was insane and the performances top notch, complete with a diss track hitting number 1, winning a Grammy and being performed at The Super Bowl.

Showmanship, tunes, performance and telling an important message make it one of the best live performances of this generation.
