My first Amex game was us against West Ham, October 2011. Early goal from Nolan after a defensive mistake and then they shut up shop. Big Sam has Poyet's number.

It was the ultimate away day smash and grab.

Scanning the Sunderland forum there's a few who aren't happy with Poyet, but probably just as many who simply blame the players.

I had a quick look as well. Meltdown. "Cross the ball you spenk!". Had to consult the urban bible for that one. Local lingo :lolol:

"Does Bridcutt know how to pass forward?".

The atmosphere is so dead.... I'm not sure you can blame Poyet though for Sunderland's recent performances, they've tried about 20 different managers already players just don't seem good enough. Locals seem very restless.

Bridcutt playing well though, spraying passes about. He did do a few of those at the Albion you know!

Bloody hell that was a hostile half time reaction from the home crowd  I think they are more angry with the players though than Gus, got to the stage where they've had enough managers to realise that isn't the problem maybe.

Lots of posts on Sunderland forum sound a lot like certain people on here though whenever we had a bad run under Poyet. (Negative, all possession no penetration ect)

RTG forum: "The fact that Gus thinks Bridcutt is a Premier League player is enough proof he isn't cut out for the job".

Adam Johnson was ripping teams apart on his own a few months ago. That was the main reason they were climbing the table and even an England recall was being touted about....Now he finds himself warming his arse on the bench. On the face of it this would appear very strange, until you look at his managers track record with big name players......No one can be bigger than Poyet or get more column inches than him.

Loud booing as well....puts our half time booing to shame ???

Wonder if Gus will be quite so cavalier in his post match interview about going home or playing golf if the fans don't like the football his team plays, somehow doubt it. He was very outspoken about fans booing his team when he was here.

Albion supporters mean spirited, bitching about an ex manager when you could have watched the Dev Squad and CMS scoring two beautiful goals.
