Gus Poyet's Sunderland and newly promoted Burnley are competing with us to sign Stephen Ward.

Should have tried to sign him in January, we've got no chance now.

That would make it 3 left back loans we have lost ,seems rather careless if we miss out on Ward......but if the premiership comes calling !!!

Cannot be helped in any circumstances.......If a top league club comes calling you cannot blame the player. What would you choose.....Top division or Championship? No Brainer IMHO.

We need a manager/head coach/kit man , anyone to take charge ASAP

Really cant see it dragging on much longer in all honesty as the club know we've got a busy time coming up this summer, Not just with squad building and a new coaching team to organise but we've also got the move to the new training ground coming up.

The problem is is that it's all too 'meh' - Hughton, Sherwood etc. Are there any personalities left in football management any more?

Until we find the new messiah, maybe Ernest could fill in, with Nick Griffin as his assistant and Hove Born & Bred could wash all the player's smalls.

He'll not be coming back to us, his Premiership bound and good on him. Solid in defence scored vital goals for us and even as a loan player showed real commitment and desire to the very end, be sad to see him go, but it'll give young Chicksen a go!

The Ward situation should have been sorted in January when it was clear he was a decent left back. If he chooses another club now fair play to him and we must move on and hope Bruno and Calderon both sign. Calderon can play left back if required but it will leave us weak down the left hand side unless we can get a decent replacement on hopefully lower wages than Ward was on.

Agree 100% and Chicksen deserves and needs to step up now. He may turn out to be a "real" find.
