That would make it 3 left back loans we have lost ,seems rather careless if we miss out on Ward......but if the premiership comes calling !!!

All of the people on here who think we have some kind of entitlement to sign a Premier League quality player over an actual Premier League club are a bit daft.

There is nothing wrong with the club if we don't sign Wardy. He's a top quality player who is also an international. He should be playing at the highest level IMO.

Please god no. We tried that once before in our first ever years in the 2nd level of English football, under George Curtis and we were down pretty much by January that season.

I seem to remember towards the beginning of the season, the Argus was reporting that Ward was "using" his time with us to get himself back in the international spotlight. I can see the opportunity to be playing in the Premier league as a massive draw for him

He'll be a big loss if he doesn't sign

But he HAS got back in the Ireland team through playing for us! By your logic we would be in the driving seat!
