Here
I am simultaneously extremely excited and extremely nervous - this is a massive overhaul the like of which has probably never been attempted before by any club. In B & B we trust.

Good work except, as others say, Steele will likely stay as Bart backup, Rushworth 2nd backup...
unlikely Rushworth will stay as third keeper . perhaps as no.2 pushing verbruggen . but he'll want some gametime. so if Steele stays i think Rushworth will go. (but hard to get decent goalkeeper loans late in the window so difficult to predict).

Massive overhaul? A new midfield perhaps but otherwise just a defender and a couple of new attackers.

That would be incredibly shit for Rushworth.

Fair point but bit late to mess about now IMHO... how long will it take for Bart to return?

Crawley
so a possible 22-25 squad that looks like

I've got the (likely) squad down to about 27 !!

Goalkeepers:
2.Verbruggen (2028) - 22
3. Rushworth - (2027 + 1 year option) - 22
Cahill ?

Full Backs
5. Estupinan (2027) - 25
6. Veltman (2025) - 32
u21. Hinshelwood (HGP) (2026) - 18
Kadioglu ??

Centre Backs
8. Webster ( HGP ) ( 2026) - 29
9..Dunk ( HGP ) (2026) - 32
10..van Hecke (2027) - 23
11.Igor Julio (2027) - 25
New Centre BACK

Midfielders
15. Milner (HGP) (2025) - 38
u21. Baleba (2028 + 1) - 20
u21 Ayari (2027) - 20
17. Wieffer (2028) - 24
u21 Gruda (2028) - 20
O Riley ??
Gomez ??

Wingers/Forwards
19. March ( HGP ) (2026 + 1 year option) - 29
19. Mitoma (2027) - 27
U21. Enciso (2026 + 1 yr option) - 20
20. Adingra (2026) - 21
u21 Minteh (2029) -19

Centre Forwards
22. Welbeck ( HGP ) (2026) - 33
23. Joao Pedro (HGP) (2028)- 22
U21. Ferguson (2028) - 19
25. Rutter (2029) - 22
That would be 25 in effect for the first half of the season, with Solly not fully match fit and a starting option till Dec/Jan and Gomez not coming till Jan if the deal is done.

Based on last night's showing I wouldn't be confident with Cahill as our #3.
I think we will only have two first team goalies. Verbruggen and Steele or Rushworth.

Any injury to any of the two and we're allowed to do an emergency recall of a goalkeeper.

Most teams are doing this now rather than signing some oldie third keeper.

It not dissimilar to Forest or Fulham, both went bonkers in recent trf windows only to fail miserably.... I have my fingers crossed for a positive outcome.

Adding Tariq stays unless Ferdi signs
Plus Billy stays unless MOR signs
Rushworth as second back up? What an absolutely ridiculous idea! One thing Rushworth does not need now is a season of not playing much, if at all; he needs a high level loan, to be ready to come back here when Verbruggen is sold or, if FH really doesn't fancy him, to increase his sale value.
If unfortunately Rushworth is still here in September, no way would he be no.3 - he is a much better GK than Steele.

The penultimate day of the window.

Lots of players still to loan out or sell.

We will be able to find them all a new home?

And the Boscagli deal lurks in the background. PSV willing to go to the final hours to extract maximum value on a player who’ll surely turn down a new contract offer and leave on a free in 9 months time if they don’t sell. They are not going to turn down the best part of £10m, they are not big enough to do that.

So….the future of Moder, Dahoud and possibly Lamptey (new contract?) and Igor will play out in the next 39 hours or so. And a fair few loan outs too. The squad is listed as 38 players on Transfermarkt, you’d suspect that that needs to come down by at least 10 bodies over the next two days.

Not necessarily... perhaps not even likely. A lot of transfer windows will remain open for another week or so.

Wonder if Boscagli will still happen?

With MOR seemingly Injured a while and rumours circulating that WBG isn't going to be sold this window after all, do we still have the PSR headroom for another multi million £ deal, without a multi million outgoing?

I’d guess that we’ve got about +£170m wiggle room on PSR but @El Presidente is the expert here. I’ve not done the amortisation math.

But I suppose we’d want to roughly get Boscagi’s fee back from an Igor sale back to Italy.
