Really annoying when they keep talking about not booking your summer holiday. In the real world, many of us have had summer holidays booked for ages so what is needed is clear guidance so that both travellers and holiday companies can make decisions and sort out plans for rescheduling / refunds.

I'm no expert, but I would say there is little or no chance of non essential foreign travel this summer.

Pretty much this. And good chance that many of destinations won't be half as enjoyable due to restrictions. Sadly you might just have to resign yourself to the fact that 2020 has been cancelled!

Decided to bail out of our holiday to Portugal at the end of July last night. Mrs DCH was not keen on going and our deposit was due to be paid shortly.

We'll probably just have a few days out in the UK instead and put the cash saved towards a big holiday we have planned for late next year instead.

Decided last month to cancel ours and lose the deposit. Booked a caravan in UK instead in hope that the caravan sites will be allowed to open by July (covered if not). Now looks like there is a chance holidays to Spain may be open when we would of been going. Will miss it and no doubt we will get rain in the UK, but still feel we have made the right choice for this year

Two weeks in Canada missed already and refund agreed and awaited. Week in Spain cancelled for June and refunded already. Not booking anything else.
