Not many left now but if there are any then MOST certainly yes!!!

I assume you mean yes to hunting them down ? If so I agree with you but pottert might see it as pointless because of their age, the time span and the costs involved.

If it was my son/daughter I would have chopped his hand/cock off but I would have done it when it happened not 30 years later.

If the offences were committed by non celebs then (a) would not be reported & (b) would not be investigated 30 years later.

So what are you saying - if your daughter had been raped when she was 11 but you only found out 30 years later then you wouldn't be supportive and want the offender brought to justice?

What if the rapist was now in their 50s?

What if like many victims your daughter now in her 40s was withdrawn, unable to form a proper relationship - none of that make any difference?

No wonder so many victims have taken this long to come forward and are only doing so now because they realise they aren't alone in their misery.

Am I the only person that dosent see the point in all this.
Saville,Stuart hall,DLT,Rolf Harris & im sure there are many more offences that were committed many years ago by so called celebs.
Why were these so called offences not reported 20,30 or 40 years ago when the incidents happened.

Why is it that when we live in a day & age when you can't say boo to a goose do all these accusations come out.

When I was a little boy standing in the north stand it was seen as acceptable to make monkey chants to black players,
I would be lying if I said I never joined in,but that was then & this is now.Does that mean that if a retired footballer decides that we was racially abused at the goldstone 30 years ago that the police will investigate & see if we have a case to answer.

What I'm trying to say is what was acceptable 30 years ago may not be now.

Spending millions of pounds of public money to send men that are in there 70's & 80's to prison for crimes that were committed 30 years ago & were not investigated at the time seems pointless to me.

I disagree with you but bear in mind that they are subject to the penalties available at the time of offence rather than what they would get now so don't worry too much about what was acceptable then and now, it's factored in anyway.

Are you trying to say that paedophilia/rape was acceptable 30 years ago? Are you around 60/70 years old and a little bit worried?

I've read some unmitigated bollox on NSC in my time but this is right up there on the leader board. You, sir, give cretins a bad name.

It's difficult to know where to start with this so I'll just point out that it has always been illegal and unacceptable to rape children.

Will he ever be a free man to walk the streets again. I doubt it very much, at his age he will possibly die in prison if he gets another prison sentence or his term is extended, not that that should be a consideration.

If guilty then he must do the time - it doesn't matter if a king, queen or a pauper, if you are proved to have committed the crime then without exception you should be made to face full force of the law. My only small concern about all these cases is that it is becoming very close to being a public witch hunt and the accused are all facing allegations from decades ago that they have almost no chance of defending as the evidence is ancient and the presumption of innocent until proven guilty seems to have gone by the way side these days - just say Hall is actually innocent of these new charges (and at this stage he is entitled to that presumption under the law), does anyone really think a Jury whose heard all about the previous matters would still not just convict him or afford him a fair trial? I've no time whatsoever for criminals and especially those that prey on children and the vulnerable as they are beneath contempt but there have been too many people found guilty in the eye of public opinion and then proved to have been innocent years later but with their life, career and name ruined to make me comfortable with all these arrests over last year or so.

I think your right BG, in fact I'm surprised he's lasted this long without getting some kind of kicking, 83 or not. Its horrendous what he put these girls through but its also part of our own childhood memories, Its a Knockout, Sports report on the radio, being destroyed forever.

There must be hundreds of people who had one of thsoe iconic 'Jim Fixed it for me' badges, probably enjoying pride of place at home or forever in the old memory banks, but not any more..........

It's depressing how widespread this abuse was.

Why has the BBC been employing so many pedos? it can't just be a coincidence that they've ended up all working for the same company?
Same goes for the queen giving medals to countless amounts of pedos? Even her butler was a pedo!!! Takes one to know one me thinks, they are all linked.

I had a pub next to Kings Cross Station and JS at the height of his career stayed in a camper in the car park behind the railway club and my sister in law and her friend when visiting us went to see him, they were probably a bit old for him as they were 16 or 17. He still tried it on with them about him about being famous etc but they were fortunately old enough to tell him to f..k off and walk out of his camper but others were not.

If your son/daughter had been interfered with, I think you might have a different opinion.

Justice needs to served, no matter how long it takes.

Absolutely what he said!

Why do so many paedophiles end up working with children? - the same reason that many worked for the BBC - opportunity

I don't think getting a job for the bbc is that easy, you need to know the 'right' people. I'm sure Rolf Harris and Stuart Hall both were in connection with other OBE members.

I have a friend who was sexually assaulted by a famous FEMALE BBC children's presenter in the 70's, it wasn't just the men who did it.

....and it wasn't just the BBC or simply the media, it was across society......scouts, cubs, swimming instructors, clergy, teachers, social workers, care assistants.......it was and is everywhere......celebs just make big headlines, ordinary folk getting caught just warrant a page 7 partial column in relative obscurity.
