I had disregarded both Lynch and Hinshlewood because I am not convinced that they will be fit enough for long enough to make a sizeable contribution to this season.
A bit harsh on Lynch.

I believe Reading played that system a lot when Forster was their main striker. He was quicker back then though. I think maybe he'd need a bit more support than that, especially given how lightweight Robinson and Cox are.Having watched the Res the other evening I would say that Reid is nearing fitness and showed a good range of [passes to both the forwards and the wide men I would suggest playing him alongside Hammond in the middle and Fraser/O'Callaghan infront of the back 4 with Cox wide left Robinson wide right/striker with Forster down the middle. 2 out of 3 Savage Elder Revell on the bench to come on as needed so my team would be:
Kuipers (Cos we have no alternative)
Whing
Elphick
El Abd
Richards
Fraser/O'Callaghan
Robinson
Reid
Hammond
Cox
Forster
Subs:
O Sullivan
Butters
Elder
Savage
Fraser/O'Callaghan

I think that would be worth a go at least, it might not be physical enough for this league attack wise but worth trying at least. I think as much as a striker we need a PROPER winger. Even Cox isn't an out and out winger.
When he came back he got injured again very shortly after and I wonder whether or nothe is:
a. Injury Prone
b. Being rushed back too soon.
Neither will do him any favours. I am afraid I do not have a lot of faith in the BHA medical team going on past events, in fact I could even suggest that they appear like the rest of the back room staff very amateurish.
They are a bit better on the ball than us though (also I thought they looked more likely to score when they had two strikers on, I was surprised Walcott didn't get a game up front with Adebayor but that's not the point, I think they could pull that formation off but we might not be able to).Did you see Arsenals line up yesterday 1 striker and 5 man midfield of which any 1 or more of them could break and support the striker.

We have played a similar system at times this season, with Revell as the right forward. It didn't really work.
But that is not what you wanted, you wanted Steak and Chips but didnt have the required ingredients.
We want goals from Forster but we do not have the right ingredients.
I would to suggest Bob Crow for the role. He knows a lot about strikers.
I think on the right of midfield he might be an option.
However I have quite impressed with Martot, he looks a better footballer than a lof of our players.
I think the Ghoulash mix could get us into the play-offs Not so sure about Steak and Chips.
I agree with BensGrandad, we simply do not have the ingredients for steak and chips at the moment. I think we possibly have the ingredients for a nice omlette though. We may be slightly lacking in chopped tomato (which would obviously put us up in the playoff bracket), but with a little extra pepper and some parmesan cheese, we should be comfortably mid-table.

Can't agree on that. A poor man's frutos.
glad someone
else doesn't think he is the answer
