I’ve put the motorbike indoors and put slabs on top of the bin lids.

Let nature take its course. I’m ready.

Silly old bat
Another red alert for Storm Eowyn tonight/tomorrow - NI and Scotland, so not for most of you! It's Amber in Cumbria - with 75mph gusts and 'danger of roof being blown off'.

I've charged my torches, got the oil lamps down, and filled up the log basket.
Take care.

The most important thing to remember at times like these is to absolutely make sure you get to watch BigJetTV, and similar YouTube channels, so you can laugh at large commercial airliners, full of hundreds of shit-scared people, trying to land sideways.
Jerry will be live on BigJetTV from Heathrow at 7am tomorrow

100% this.

The CRO of my company has a flight tomorrow from Dublin to New York. Almost certainly not going to happen but a guaranteed roller coaster take off if it does. And landing is worse (says someone who was on a sideways landing in the storm in late November).

^^^^^^^ :ban: ^^^^^^^

Ignore them, do not start watching BigJetTV. You may think that you'll just watch for a couple of minutes and before you know it, bosh, hours have gone by...

Am in amber but surrounded by red. Might just try and see if any easyJet aircraft in right place to fly from any Scottish airport first thing Sat and wing it. Probably means I will land at LGW about ko time knowing my luck.
Looking at the weather maps I would say there's more chance of you ending up at OSL !

On a practical note, I do suffer from power cuts occasionally as we're fed by overhead power lines, so my top tip is to use a couple of solar powered security lights - one on the landing and one in the bathroom. That'll see you through the evening/night if you lose power for hours at a time, as I do sometimes.

Yeah. Bring it on Mother…Nature!

Changed our plans for this weekend, was due ooop north in Manchester area and postponed because of the extreme warnings earlier this week. Beginning to regret now, seems overtly cautious. Calm outside and not even raining. Where’s the Armageddon we were promised?!

A lot of the storms seem to come to nought expect fairly strong coastal winds in the south east.

I’ll be on vehicle response this weeknd at nights which will be wet and windy but it’s usually not too bad unless we get any shouts to the beach. Which we undoubtedly will 😕

Well don’t get blown away. But yes, I’m much further inland. Maybe some leaves on the line ;)

Ha Ha! We know you are addicted :lolol:

You posted exactly that on the ‘Big Jet live’ thread I started last year which I was trying to find earlier and couldn’t - I think there’s been a few over the years that you mentioned - but before my time maybe?

Just to annoy you 😜

Big Jet as usual at Heathrow from 7 am

And Dublin live

Has messed up my match plans as tomorrow’s train cancelled. Am in amber but surrounded by red. Might just try and see if any easyJet aircraft in right place to fly from any Scottish airport first thing Sat and wing it. Probably means I will land at LGW about ko time knowing my luck.
Accidental pun ?

No Easy Jet flights showing available from Glasgow, the one from Edinburgh is evening.

If you fancy setting off silly early, Inverness and Aberdeen have flights.
