Looking forward to landing at Heathrow tomorrow morning [emoji33][emoji33][emoji15][emoji15]
This shows the forecast peak gust speed (rather than average wind speed) as its the strong gusts that do the damage. Lunch time tomorrow is showing for 75mph gusts along the coast at Brighton, touching 80mph at Eastbourne.

If anyone finds my fence panels on Monday can they let me know. Fully expecting to lose at least 6 if the Met Office are correct on the wind speed.
Many thanks [emoji23][emoji23]I work as an Air Traffic Controller at Farnborough. Our MET forecast is peak gusts up to 56kts tomorrow lunchtime onwards, picking up around 10am with 40kts gusts. Heathrow and Gatwick will be similar. The wind is forecast from the SSW so not ideal for Heathrow runway 27 as there will be a significant cross wind.
If you are going East might get there a tad quicker
Many thanks [emoji23][emoji23]
Due to land at 04:55, so hopefully ahead of the worst of it.
A great big one luckily (380)There is a strong wind warning valid from 2000 tonight but only gusting 25kts so wont be a big factor depending on the aircraft you're on

Looking forward to taking off from Heathrow tomorrow morning. I notice though that other websites like Weather.com and Weather Underground have forecasts which are not as extreme as the Met Office.

Sounds like a great day to go down the seafront and blow the cobwebs away
