Yesterday evening, a load of them were on Hollingbury golf course, and this morning one was photographed flying over Lewes. They were introduced two years ago after over 600 years to the Knepp Estate and thriving.

I am convinced that l came across a pair flying low in the sky, on one of my regular weekend walks across the fields to Wineham earlier this summer.

Such majestic birds.

Let's hope they have more success than the eagles that were released , 2 of the 5 have already been killed by suspected poisoned bait.....

Saw them up at Knepp on a stroll last weekend, lovely birds and would be great if they could spread further afield. In Poland you see them all over the place, very common over there nesting atop lamp posts and similar.

I was lucky to be walking the dog on the golf course at the time and was quite an unusual and impressive sight, It might have been a completely different picture (and the ones of Facebook) had i not managed to get the lead on the dog 5 seconds before.

SpringWatch did one of my favourite pieces on the rewilding of stalks at Knepp estate. Don't quote me but i think they said it was the first Stalks living and breeding in the Uk for 500 years. Incredible. I love the reintroduction of animals we have lost like Beavers etc... let's bring back the Wolves and Bears
