Yesterday evening, a load of them were on Hollingbury golf course, and this morning one was photographed flying over Lewes. They were introduced two years ago after over 600 years to the Knepp Estate and thriving.

If you are on FB, see the pictures on Brighton Skies.

I am convinced that l came across a pair flying low in the sky, on one of my regular weekend walks across the fields to Wineham earlier this summer.

Such majestic birds.

Let's hope they have more success than the eagles that were released , 2 of the 5 have already been killed by suspected poisoned bait.....

My family got frustrated with my stork impression. I had to put my foot down.

I was lucky to be walking the dog on the golf course at the time and was quite an unusual and impressive sight, It might have been a completely different picture (and the ones of Facebook) had i not managed to get the lead on the dog 5 seconds before. 20220809_182503.jpg

Read ‘Wilding’ by Isabella Tree which is the the story of the Knepp Estate near Horsham which is a brilliant and inspiring read and gives us a blue print from saving the UK from an environmental catastrophe.

SpringWatch did one of my favourite pieces on the rewilding of stalks at Knepp estate. Don't quote me but i think they said it was the first Stalks living and breeding in the Uk for 500 years. Incredible. I love the reintroduction of animals we have lost like Beavers etc... let's bring back the Wolves and Bears :D
