Great debut album but a notoriously bad live act, which is odd as they are all quite rated as individual musicians.

Think when they split Ian Brown was thought of as just a "singer" but his solo stuff on record is awesome.
However he has small man syndrome & i have seen him live about 5 times & he either picks fights with the sound engineers/his band/the audience etc etc....he is so up his own arse its untrue...
I did see John Squire at IOW festival about 7/8 years ago, i remember his version of fools gold was awesome...
If they came back i would probably go & see it, but its bit sad really....always about the money money money

Glad someone else noticed that. Shirehorses now were talking!! Sadly though there is about as much chance as them getting back together as the Roses.

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssttt Country Boy!

Now, I know where we're going.....our kid!

The Shirehorses album is a classic. Gonna stick it on right now!

Funny. My friends and I used to refer to the Seahorses as the Shirehorses. Never knew of the spoof Rafcliffe outfit: will check them out as I bet it's funny as.
The Seahorses were shite though. The direction the Roses would have gone in if they'd continued?

Press conference at 3pm...i saw Ian Brown a few months ago in london & he was looking a bit fooked (normal i suppose) he does have to pay for a divorce...i wonder if he will be that honest at the press conference to say its all awout the lucre

Excited if it's true....

The Stones Roses at the Brighton Centre in December 95 was my first ever gig.

I'll definitely be going if it is the original line up.

Well I never!

Cheeky, that's the 'Glasto' weekend. Nice bit of marketing there given Glasto is not on in 2012.

Not worth it, because they - like Blur - are only really doing it because there's astronomical money involved. Although anyone who says Spike Island was gash because of the performance is missing the point. Ian Brown never has been able to sing - for the past few years he hasn't been able to hold a note or keep time with the band. But he has a supernatural stage presence which knocks almost every great singer I can think of right now into a miniature speaker.
