I'm not disputing this happens, I'm just disappointed it does. Personally Id rather have less but better quality of anything.

Surely you can still do this though - the fact that cheap lagers are available does not stop you seeking out a better quality one? What's to be disappointed about?

You can have the best of both worlds. A few cheap products, but also have your premium lagers too, Peroni, Stella, Cobra, Kozel etc. That way no-one gets out priced in your establishment. It tends to be the discounted brews in the daytime and premiums at night with me.

and nice as it is when did Kozel become considered premium, it used to be a cheaper brand.

I think our wires are getting crossed. My disappointment is that some people will buy rubbish in preference to quality. It doesn't affect me much but I find this attitude/approach disappointing. It's the same with Church Rd in Hove where Bagelman sits next to a Subway. It's puzzling and disappointing that people use Subway when you can have a home baked bagel with decent fillings served by some smiley young thing next door. If more people went for quality, standards would rise across the board, so there is something to be disappointed about. That said ill survive.

Enough from the elite beer drinker please! I thought we had done all this with the no more Harveys thread. Real ale snobs unite. If the landlord is considering the offer WTF is it to do with you?

Carling extra cold is quite refreshing, fosters is ok.

Coors light is my favourite lager or something like Heineken or Amstel.

Much rather drink a nice cold lager than a 'proper beer' on a hot day!

It's okay, but there are plenty of better lagers out there and thankfully, albeit slowly, pubs are starting to stock them.

They are all crap, however, if I was the landlord I would go for fosters. I suspect that this is the most popular of the 3 and would sell well at £2.40 a pint which is the whole point for the landlord irrespective of whether I or anyone other lager snob thinks it's disgusting!
