Well given that he played up front for Port Vale and Cork and then moved into attacking midfield for a few months at Cork and Ipswich, I would have thought he considered himself an attacking player. I dont think he really got a chance to show it here when he was playing with Hammond.

Oh and I would struggle to even beat Butters over 20 yards!! I understand your point though.

I would struggle to beat Malcolm Stewart over 20 yards !!

I was a big big fan of George, but he wasnt the most dynamic player, clever clever player though and I think a great loss.

Depend what job he was asked to do by wilkins though; doesn't it?

Yes it does, but what concerns me is we do not need another of that type of player...I think el abd can do that...we need creativity!!!!!

I haven't the faintest idea how you came to that conclusion - He put in strong challenges, distributed the ball out wide and rarely if ever gave the ball away. He did the job he was given very well. I can see him being a really good player for the future especially if he is given a fee-er role which I think will happen with Hammond in the side again.

Nope got nothing to do with what job Wilkins asked of him.

Dave the Gaffer is right, he is a Bertin type player, real quality and takes care of the ball really well by the looks of things.

But players have certain atrributes that lends themselves to different positions and roles within the team.

Thompson will not be striker, winger, centre half, or keeper, but will be a really tidy midfielder that is more of a cog within a team than anything else.

There is no P in Thomson. I thought he looks a good prospect.

Well I'm afraid thats just wrong - If you are asked to hold in midfield that means you don't bomb forward when you get the opportunity, just as a player asked to play at right back doesn't play like a winger. We have seen him play one game and by the posts from Falkirk fans I read, the position he played today doesn't really complement his full potential.

IMO he looked comfortable with the ball and played simple balls and passes. Was quite impressed and feel that he will bea valuable addition tot he team. Him and Reid together looked good.

Thought he did well - let's not forget that Hammond was out today so perhaps he was used there rather than as an attacking midfielder. Always looking for the ball and will be a useful acquisition

Was disappointed he seemed to be playing so deep but looks a good prospect.
