I think Coppell will still come. Bloom will understand that he has top whip out the cheque book for us to really get out of this division.
f***ing hope so. I think we will see a few more big names declared out soon, and Bloom know he has to appoint a top man, or end up with a blacklash a Withdean.

What.I got it wrong that Coppell was approached? Err, isn't it obvious now that he was.:wozza:

No the title of your thread was Coppell is coming. You made out he was coming and he has not. I just think true or not posting stuff about transfer budgets offered etc is totally wrong and likely to be bollocks anyway. It just feels like people "In the know" like to sound like the big I am when whats best for the club and manager hunt is for us all to give opinions on what we would like and let Bloom deal with the real stuff. All you and others are doing is :bla::bla::bla::bla::bla::bla::bla:

Too be honest, when I found out In January about Wilkins going, I totally discarded it. It was only after it happened 5 months later, that the person who told me, reminded me he told me, and and it was a " oh f***ing hell yer" sort of moment.

In hindsight, I wish I posted it. Inappropriate or not, had it been out in the open, things may not have panned out the way they did. I still dont know to this day if Dean Wilkins knew it was coming, but if he didn't, I wish I brought out in the open, as that day in May set us back about 3 years, as I did say at the time. Whether he knew or not is something I keep meaning to find out, but never have got round to it. As as many probably know on here, what happened with Dean was totally out of order, and totally different to Uncle Dicks spin on it.

It's the same as I knew about Micky Adams and the Paul Ince situation, and the Russell Slade and Steve Coppell one, people outside the inner most circle of the club should not be finding out about these things, probably before the sacked managers do.

There is something seriously wrong within the club, that so many people found out these rumours, and I really think the club needs to tighten up the way it deals with the way they appoint and sack managers, because simply to many people are in the know.

For the record, the person I get this info from doesn't give a shit if its posted here, as everything he's told me is as he say "common knowledge" to a great many people.

But I do think the club needs to sort out what discussed, and how they handle this type of information, cause someone at the club has a very big ego and mouth, and has the "look at me " syndrome, as they obviosuly blurt out far more than they should.

No doubt when I posted this story 11 days ago, a number of posters on here already knew, and people at the club probably thought... "f*** its out" but I people at the club really need to try harder to keep things in house.

Also makes you wonder what sort of a journilist Andy Naylor is, as it appears most of the football world of sussex knows about the Albion managers, way before he does.

I agree.

I knew last week that Slade would be going as I overhead Hicks telling someone at Falmer. He said that Tony had no option and the form really wasn't good enough. This was BEFORE Hartlepool, then duely sacked after.

I told my friends this but didn't post it on here as didn't think it was appropriate.

Now there is NO way I should be knowing this before perhaps even Slade knew it :nono:

Slade knew, and anyone should have been able to work out that after the Oldham game and "routine board meeting" that followed it Slade was on very thin ice.

SC - No, no you didn't, therefore I AM OUT..

Mmm, I was one of the first to doubt Mr Burns about Coppell being approached. He never did say that he was actually going to be installed. Events seem to have proven him correct. Perhaps it was a lucky guess.

What we dont know is what kind of funding Coppell was after. If it was millions, then Bloom was probably right to tell him its not currently on. If on the otherhand its say in the hundreds of £000's i.e to get us a few players in January and the same again in the summer to bolster/enhance the squad and that was turned down, then we really are in trouble.

I dont doubt he knew Coppell was approached, however, the whole post about Coppell turning us down because there was no money and that TB said that the current playing staff were good enough is just complete and utter rubbish.

I keep my posts to the other more up to date thread I'm getting massacred in, because uness people can be bothered to read the first few posts, I agree that the heading is misleasding, but to answer your point, you now don't doubt what I said last week was true, but no doubt you and other sdisbelived it at the time, but now slamming me for the latest news. Maybe it's not true, maybe its something the club put out to try and find the mole who's leaking all these stories, but it's what I've been told, and up until now on the last three managerial sackings and happenings, I've no reason to think the stories false, even if some on here don't like me posting it.

Maybe too put a stop to this, I should **** off the person who tells me things, if the slighest thing isn't true, cause no doubt he'll stop passing it on if I did, but so far o this story, what I have said before today hasturned out to be the case hasn't it.

MODS can someone lock this thread now, andwe'll coninue it in the other one

Why? And have a forum where the truth isn't spoken. This has been said before, but as I'm sure you know most of what has been said on this sacking/appointment has been coming true, so why would they lock me down for telling the truth?

Are you a commie?:tantrum:

Ohh, sorry missed that one. A postive quote!!!:D

I've said before I find it's hard to beleive that he turned us down over funds, but thats what is coming out of the club via the back door.

With regards he guess, I was accussed of that over the Micky Adams sacking and the Paul Ince story, but both turned out to be the case in the end.

If I was that good at guessing, I wouldn't have laid the max on Coppell getting the job:laugh:

Fair enough I suppose but can understand why though can't you?
What why I'm getting shit?

Not really. Reported Coppell was approached and it turns out he was. Then reported why he turned us down. Maybe people don't like the truth, and expect us to play our first game at Falmer in the championship, and this may suggest this aren't as rosey as we'd hoped. So suppose the young ones have to take it out on someone.

If it's true that Dennis Wise has also turned us down, the day after Coppell, it's sound like he didn't like what he heard either, so maybe the Coppell story is true, then again maye its not, I'm just posting what I have been told, and the source has been right on the last three manaer changes, so I have no reason to doubt him.

If I flamed him like I get flamed on here, then 'd look a bit of a tit now, as all he's said so far is correct.

So if Mr Burns is telling the truth (ive no real reason to doubt him) Coppell ruled himself out once he discovered he would not have ANY?!?!? money to spend. In that case Bloom must have lost the plot if he thinks he will find anyone better than Slade who will come here with a budget of zero. I rally hope Bloom back tracks, phones up Stevie again before Hull sack Phil Brown and say you can have a Million in january, otherwise we are royally screwed
