Funny one this, isn't it? He's playing in the German equivalent of the Championship, and yet seemingly had Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs and Villa after him, according to some pretty reputable sources. That's like Europe's top clubs (and Spurs/ Chelsea) going after some lad at Sunderland.

His underlying stats must suggest he's pretty special then.

No danger. How many former "promising talents" are on loan at moment, because they weren't improving or didn't fit the system or something?

I’ve been fairly negative about Saturday’s performance and FH’s influence but this deal is something to be really positive about.
It’s a deal exactly in our sphere. Talented young player landed before other bigger clubs decide to gamble on him.
Of course, all the gambles don’t work, but that’s what we have done with Caicedo, Mitoma and Baleba amongst others.
We took a risk on Barco and with that one we think now is time to cut our losses ( but just a minute, we made a small profit on him if the figures are to be believed)
Same as Undav. Bought for c £6m, sold for over £20m.
Let’s not let our recent angst get in the way of being a bit more objective about this deal. It’s a typical BHA/ Tony Bloom deal and if FH has played his part in getting the deal over the line, then fair play on that front.
