Staying up by another team having points deducted

Pretty sure I know that the general consensus would be to grab the opportunity and feck the fact that it's staying up via the back door but.....would you be comfortable with this if it meant the Albion staying in the Championship?

I'm resigned to going down and the fact that so many of the youth team have been signed I reckon the club are as well. If we are budgeting for League One could we now re-jig the finances to avoid us being the whipping boys of the Championship next season?

are 3 teams going to be relegated then for financial wrong doing - thats what we will need when we finish bottom.

We need to stay up because we have enough points on the last day of the season, not start clutching at straws because of rumours coming out of Derby, but that said I would take it!

I am sure if we dug deep enough we could find stories of financial irregularities at pretty much every football club, maybe even our own.

Crewe and Milwall are very catchable so we do have a reasonable chance of finishing 3rd from bottom

I would be quite happy for us to stay up because of the financial mis-management of another club. Especially if that team was Leicester.

Absolutely agree with that ...

Leicester have been living beyond their means for years. In that time they have built a new ground (which they couldn't afford to pay for) and spent millions on players, they are a SHAMBLES.

I'd love to see them get relegated for financial irregularities, if any club deserve it they do ...

VERY good call.
I'd also include Leeds and Cardiff in that bracket.

yeah, what is the deal with cardiff??? they were favourites to go down because they sold all their players, but then they manage to keep jerome, get koumas on loan, darren purse and a whole host of other players. if their finances were that bad, then where the f*** did the money for that lot come from???

I personally wouldn't give a shit how we stayed up..... at the end of the day if they get relegated or points deducted then they shouldn't have been doing something they shouldn't.

Would feel sorry for the fans, but we have been tucked up by our board b4 and had to deal with it..... this club is all i give a shit about when it coems down to it

Money isn't really a problem at Cardiff. Last year, despite being £30m in debt, they went and added Neil Ardley and Michael Boulding to their squad. Within days of those two signings being made, they went cap-in-hand to the PFA and borrowed some more cash so they could actually pay their players wages. Quite handy that, getting the PFA to fund your relegation battle.

Dems the facts as they stand.
If I recall, the defence at the time was "oh EVERYONE does it".

I'm not sure I would be happy staying up by this method.

We are not unlucky to be where we are, we are bottom because we are the worst team in this division, and therefore

1. We deserve to go down
2. If we did stay up by this route, we would continue to struggle at the wrong end of the table next season. And that's no fun anymore.

Sorry, but that's how I feel.

I'm not proud. I don't care HOW we stay up. Sure we're probably just putting it off another year before we go down anyway, but I'd rather we had a stab at staying in this division next year. After all, despite everything, we've not gone down by MILES this season have we ? We've not been adrift since October, like Rovrum last year. Also, I can see Southend/Brentford and most of the Playoff pack in L1 struggling next season, as well at Sheff Weds again, plus Southampton and Derbys continuing decline.

Naah, I'd LOVE us to have another pop at this division next season. Not saying we'd stay up, but it'd be another fight to the DEATH, and I'm always up for one of those.

Why, because if we aren't good enough to stay up, surely by finishing outside the promotions places they aren't good enough to come up...same thing really
