I feel a little bit dissapopinted by that statement . They have had ample time to get this sorted and its getting turned into a bigger mess . The rumours persist and they wont go away but the phantom sh itter is still at large :annoyed:

You think after all the money he has invested he would just let the CEO do what he wants without overseeing him and guiding him in a certain direction. Not to mention the fact everyone within the club now and previously have said how close TB's relationship is to the working of the club and the employees.
You think if PB had done anything against the wishes of TB and the board he would be able to repeat that mistake and do something else wrong?

After the timing of the statement last night, the club has had to release a statement today and PB sent out an email. That's why I called it damage limitation and I think TB has told him to do it.

Belloti appeased the fans with praise for a while too....

Just kidding. Nice, personable email.

No one gives a flying f##k what you think, go back to your own board, this is a private affair

Because the club are media savvy enough to know that the BBC would give this a sensational twist, live on TV.

If the club cared about conducting its 'private' business in private then surely they would have chosen a better moment to release the statement.

And you don't think the fact Gus was going on live TV on the same day they had been negotiating with him about his dismissal made that statement necessary?

Can't understand what part of "legally we have been able to say so little" that so many on hear seem unable to comprehend. Perhaps that is the main problem in this saga - too many unaware of facts and making 2 + 2 = 7.

This, absolutely. If they'd known that Gus was the sort of bloke to maintain a dignified silence when asked what was happening, then perhaps they could have waited. Given that they know him quite well, and that he was unlikely to pass up the opportunity to sound off in public on live tv, that was too big a risk for the club to take.

On the subject of "experienced interim
manager" If we were to appoint Oscar Garcia, would this add weight to any case Gus may have for unfair or constructive dismissal? Bearing in mind the report in Spain that we have already offered him a two year contract.

I had a problem a while back with not getting club emails (even though my partner did, and we registered at the same time), and it seemed to be a glitch in their system. I logged onto my STH account on the ticketing site, and changed the email address to my work email, and the emails started coming ok. I then repeated the exercise and changed it back to the original email address, and the emails are now coming to that one. No idea why

I think I'm going to need to do this then, I don't see to hear from the Albion a lot via email. Although, bizarrely, I did get the last Barber one about the shit in the changing room.

That's where I differ from others, where I am not totally sure that TB is sanctioning everything that is done.

Then that is an even bigger criticism of TB. You are effectively saying he is not fulfilling his responsibilities as Chairman of this football club.

That is just total conjecture. For all you know TB was behind the timings over the weekend, and PB has started the damage limitation - point being you're just guessing.

It might be worth looking at his last employment in Vancouver.

Barber was not always well-loved among Whitecaps fans. There are ex-employees with nothing but scorn for him, although there are also those who speak well of the man. The Whitecaps' decision to sell the team's allocation of away seats in Seattle and Portland to a third-party reseller made die-hards frothing mad. Then again, he was always courteous in person, often replied to the e-mails fans sent him, and as I've indicated relationships between the club and the fans have been steadily improving over the past several months. I've heard it said that Barber actually dislikes die-hard supporters, but his organization certainly hasn't treated those die-hards like it was so.

I guess you missed my post way back at 111 Mr Bolt. Great minds think alike, hey.
