Revenge of the Sith was DECENT.

The bit where the YOUNGLINGS get NAILED is SAD.

EMPIRE is the best.

The definitive summing up of the thread.

And people - the first film is calledStar Wars not a new f***ing hope, thats just retrospective marketing bullshit.

In terms of errors, keeping Luke safe by giving him to Owen and Beru on Tatoine is not my idea of safe. Vader has (a) been there and is (b) Sort of related to them. If Vader has half a brain, it wouldn't be difficult to find Luke.

700 Years on the Galaxy and Yoda can't come up with a better plan than that.

For eight hundred years have I trained Jedi. My own counsel will I keep on who is to be hidden. A Jedi must have the deepest commitment, the most serious mind.

But doesn't Vader think Luke and Leia are dead though?

My thoughts as well - he assumes they die with Padme...

However, in the most recent film, doesn't he see her die after giving birth?

But does he not also see one of the babies crying in his dream? I assume he thinks the kids die.

I'm not gonna think too deeply about it, you could scrutinise all the films ever made for errors and you'd probably find loads. That would be a very sad way to live though.

I like the Star Wars Holiday special

featuring Jefferson Starship, Mrs Chewbacca, Carrie Fisher singing a song to the Star Wars theme and a host of other crap

How's this for a :bounce:

I have just watched Revenge of the Sith, for the first time.

The reason it's taken so long to watch was because the 2 previous ones were so unbelievably bad, I just couldn't be bothered.

Turns out it's probably benefited from that, as I thought III was pretty good.
Some very nice touches and no mucking about with drivel like Jar-Jar.

But it was ruined by a train of thought that crossed my mind, early on and wouldn't shift for the whole film.

Why didn't the Jedi's mummies attach the lightsabers through the Jedi coats, with a length of elastic?
All the film was spent picking up dropped and lost Lightsabers.
