i didnt think the penguins did themselves justice in last years final - its undoutbley the two best teams in the nhl, so hopefully they put on a set of games that can live up to that billing

Not really. It makes it more fair I reckon. Far less easy for a team to just get lucky and win it when they don't deserve it. Besides, theres loads more games per season so it makes sense to have more games in the final, as each individual game doesn't have as much value in itself.
