I enjoyed it but felt some notable names were left out who played big parts in the fight. Maybe they didn’t want to be mentioned.
I cried, I laughed and I remembered.

Even as someone who did take part I’d echo this, no Mark McGhee, despite our part resurrection at Cardiff, ie when we showed the rest of football we still had a fan base, At the initial test screening at the DOY last December I had my son giggling next to me at my retort ‘What the f**** he doing on it” at the appearance of of Graham Potter

That said it would have had to have been a mini series of Netflix to get everything in, Matt Lorenzo has done a superb job

I do wonder what (to quote ernest) the lardy jocko clown would have thought about being on a pitch away at Wycombe pleading with people to save the club and turn round the planning process which at that point was unrelentingly pointing to a likely rejection on the ground that an inspector 'thought there was an alternative suitable site'

There are so many streaming platforms out there these days from Netflix, Apple, YouTube to X. I do wonder which one it is....

I was told this week that it is TNT Sport. It would make sense as they've shown quite a few sports docs/films recently, such as the Worthing one.

The documentary could have been a twelve part series, but the more of our memories that went in would make it more and more of a piece to serve Brighton fans and nobody else. As it is, it tells a truly remarkable story and stands far enough apart from the other, more squad & pitch related, football club documentaries to be of interest to the wider community. Unlike most of those, it seemed to be a film that could be enjoyed by somebody with little knowledge of, or interest in football. It's the story of a fight against the odds and, though those of us who lived through it could fairly ask where was the mention of....., it's a fine balance between producing a detailed history and keeping the momentum of the story arc. In terms of structure, the Hyypia period had to be included as it framed our position when Chris Hughton arrived. For me, it didn't take up too much space. There wasn't a five minute compilation of Joe Bennett failing to stop crosses, just enough information to provide context.

Unsurprisingly, I found the stuff about Shoreham the most directly moving part of the film: Nothing really to do with football matches, but everything to do with putting people first and the role that a well run football club can play at a time when it's community needs to come together. It's a cliche to talk of football being a religion, but in today's world, a football match is one of the few opportunities to bring tens of thousands from a community together into one place. During difficult moments it can play the same role that churches do. In the case of Shoreham, the club response was note perfect and that really comes across in the film.

Saw him on the train a few months ago (last season I think), I was incredibly pissed, and when I locked eyes with him, he gave me a look of don't talk to me please, so I walked on. Has sat next to me at the Amex a few times, nice chap.

I mentioned earlier that I loved it, but if there's hundreds of hours of interviews etc., it would be great if when it goes to whichever network platform it's being streamed on, they showed perhaps an extended version / director's cut over a few episodes. I guess there's no scope or desire these days for director's cut Blu-ray with extras etc...

I was one of Jacob's REMF team-mates, holding up his giant shirt on the Amex pitch before the #Together match. Emotional doesn't even begin to touch on it.

The #Together thing amused me. I remember focusing on it, and reading it like an instruction to 'Keep it Together'. I didn't.
