Sky wins here,Liverpool could well go for a couple of early goals then bring on the subs, and play possesion football, also travel to the ground in the evening
is something to be missed if there is an alternative.

Staggered that some people suggest that they can't be arsed because it's "only" the Carling Cup. We are playing one of the top 6 clubs in the country at home ffs, if that doesn't excite you then you are very hard to please

Don't think the sky thing should be a standalone reason, but with some of the others I can imagine it makes a difference.

Not remotely interested. We won't get 3 points if we win, so I'll wait until we play Liverpool in the league before I see them at The Amex.

To far from Mid Devon for a Wednesday evening game and also Fridays game as well,(Plus cant get time off work for games) but have the comfort of knowing I can see them both on Sky, and also will be down for the Palace game.
My tickets gone to my sons mates who he serves with on HMS Tyne, so they can all have a little jolly on me !!

A scouse pal of mine who is coming down for the match assures me he has an 'inside line' at Anfield whatever that is, and tells me it was Liverpool who dug their heels in about the match being Wednesday not Tuesday, in which case it would suggest they will be fielding a strong team whereas Manu are playing Sunday & Tuesday but will inevitably play a 'reserve' team at Leeds.

Your not wrong there Pal, I do honestly believe Liverpool win take the Carling Cup very seriously this season, there will be pressure on Dagleish to deliver a trophy this season...the Carling Cup will be a good opportunity for him, as other clubs don't take it seriously until the Final.
I can see Liverpool playing some decent players; Doni, Glen Johnson (match fitness), Martin Skertel, Danny Wilson, Maxi, Andy Carroll and Steven Gerrard.

On the otherhand, I can suspect Gus will rest a couple for the Leeds game. Will be good to see Vicente obtain some match fitness as well.

All in all...should be a quality game :albion2:

I was going to be one of the people not going as I'm going on a family holiday but my wonderful missus said "Why don't you go to the game and come a day later?"

To cap that, an old scouse mate of mine has managed to bag a ticket too and is coming down - so, there are a few beers on the menu.

Cup games are memorable and exciting so can't understand how anyone is not interested
Most people's favourite games are cup games, mine certainly is
3 points are not the be all and end all
You won't have long to see us play Liverpool in the league mind you

Working in Switzerland and can't get back in time. Have passed my ticket to my Dad so he can take my son to the game. Hopefully the walk up to the WSU won't kill the old man!
