Interesting contract that for Furlong. Kind of came from nowhere. Very successful loan up in Scotland. Position we need cover in. Be very interesting to see if he's part of the first team plans. Between him and Samuels you'd imagine if we don't sign cover for Pervis.

I feel sorry for Khadra, and a group of players for whom our development as a team and the levels required to make the squad have moved faster then they have been able to develop / improve. If we were a struggling team or (heaven forbid) in the Championship he'd be ideal, but he's just not quite there.

It has also just struck me that there is an opportunity to "shop window" some potentially leaving players here. So I don't think a player being in the US squad is necessarily a good guide as to whether they will be with us next season.

Apparently two weeks ago his agent said that "he'll resume full training in a month". Hopefully everything is going according to plan and he just staying in Brighton to continue to work on his fitness. Not much value in him going to the US if he can't train with the rest of the squad anyway.
