[Misc] Spurs new stadium - will it be ready ??

At a guess, I'd say its officialised Levy waffle that basically all boils down to "its nowhere near ready".

Losing that NFL game will have cost them a pretty penny as well, and must be fairly embarrassing. I wonder how many Spurs fans have bought their season tickets thinking they'd be there for Liverpool, and are now stuck with going to Wembley again for Fulham, Liverpool, Cardiff and who knows how many more games.

In their defence it's a massive undertaking. A complex re-development of a current (not fit for purpose) stadium in a run down bit of London with questionable local transport links. It's a brave and expensive undertaking that has directly impacted their ability to do business in the transfer window.

I wish Palace well, but have no idea what's happening with White Hart Lane.

Sure, so why not be honest about it from the outset rather than selling season tickets based on the (hopeful) notion that it'll be ready for the new season. No wait, ready for mid-September. No, wait...sometime in October (maybe). I'd be royally macked off if I'd bought tickets to the new WHL for the opening game there, and its ended up being binned off to Wembley again.

I think Spurs have known for months that they were seriously behind, but have chosen to suppress it. Now its leaked in the press and they've been forced to come out with an official statement, a little more than a month before what was supposed to be the "grand opening". Its a shoddy way to treat the fans IMO.

Most of the station improvements underway will not be finished until late 2018 or 2019 so getting too and from the ground will be interesting with the increased attendance. Traffic will be chaos in that area as they plan to close off loads of roads around the stadium pre and post match. The Amex will be a transport dream in comparison.

Exactly. Knowing the NFL, there will have been huge financial penalties involved in having to move that game to Wembley, especially given the investment in facilities and the 4G field.

Why haven't as per their rules the EPL stated as soon as Spurs play at two/three home games at different grounds their will be points deducted. Sure as eggs are eggs any smaller club would receive a deduction. Disgraceful.
