I think they’re right to be nervous.

They were absolutely atrocious against Everton - really shocking. Their midfield is as basic as it gets in this league, some of them just don’t look bothered. They looked disorganised and poorly coached, and several players simply didn’t put a shift in - Hojberg in particular looked like he’d rather be anywhere else.

Bissouma is out injured now for the season (broken ankle), Richarlison has completely flopped and several of their players look fed up. I think a lot can be taken from Lucas Moura’s horror tackle. They were winning, albeit playing very poorly, at the time. Horror tackle on a limited centre back for no reason, clear red card, said limited centre back strides forward a few minutes later and scores one of the goals of the season.

It’s the type of thing that happens when mentality is shot.

I’d make Brighton clear favourites for this one too. Spurs have been dreadful lately and we look sharp and scrapping for every single loose ball and point.

I don’t think they’re wrong to be pessimistic, their league position is very misleading.

You forget that Kane can flop himself on the floor at any moment to win a penalty.

Just another London club screaming entitlement.
By my reckoning anyone under 18 won't remember Spurs winning anything, and you'd have to be in your mid-20s to remember more than one League Cup win.

Mid-30s to remember an FA Cup win.

And you're probably 70 if you remember them winning the league.

It's incredible really that they have any entitlement at all.

My dad is a Spuds fan, and takes all in his stride.
He can't remember their fans being so disillusioned.

Kane will do anything to get the ref to show a red card after he’s been tackled or even tickled
This.

Watching the footage back from the incident the other day, yes it's a red but Kane clutches the opposite side of his face and flops in the total opposite direction to where the force was applied, can't even get basic physics right.

Irrelevant of his achievements, he will always go down as one of the most unlikeable players of his generation.

Most of them don’t seem like regulars who go to the games. But it is very negative. They’re clear favourites to win and so they should be. Not getting carried away myself…

Not that clear…..odds slightly in their favour but not hugely

Wise words.

A scrappy Spuds win and the over confidence here, will turn to pain and anger.

I think you can rest easy here.

Historically and in spite of their current barren trophy cabinet, Spurs have a rich history of success.

The double in 1961, Cup wins seemingly whenever the year ended in a '1' and European trophies in the 60s, 70s and 80s.

“The great fallacy is that the game is first and last about winning. It's nothing of the kind. The game is about glory. It is about doing things in style, with a flourish, about going out and beating the other lot, not waiting for them to die of boredom.”

Danny Blanchflower's quote perfectly illustrates the attitude. Style, flair, glory. To dare is to do.

Unfortunately, with the exception of that run to the Champions League Final, there hasn't been much daring or doing recently.

They stunk out the European Conference league last season by failing to get through the group stage.

They blew winnable FA Cup R5 games in the last 2 seasons against Middlesborough and Sheffield United with multiple team changes.

Arsenal's resurgence merely compounds the issue.

Any Spurs fan with a memory remembers where and more significantly what they were, just like Albion fans remember our past.

To this outsider, Spurs haven't been Spurs since the flair 80s side of Hoddle, Ardiles and Villa.

No daring. No doing. No glory.
Rich history over a span of about 30 years. Other than that, mostly nobody under 50 will remember seeing Spurs win anything at all.
