Perhaps we could ask to replay the 91' Playoff Final - that was NEVER a corner for their first goal.

Or every game this season "we should have won" according to our esteemed manager

While I dont agree with the above action at all, to say Brighton wouldnt do the same if it happened to them would be a lie.

Cause we would but I don't support Spurs so it is somewhat amusing

I do and I find it funny - to be honest I think its just our chairman trying to look like he is doing something and letting the fans know where he is and what he is thinking.

Could Mr Knight take note>?

At least it will give them something else to winge about other than that goal that crossed the line against utd which was not given. Spurs fans are always whinging about something they just need to accept that they are not a big club and would have done f*ck all in the champions league anyway!

Shame they have no games left bet the opposition fans would have loved to have chanted 'should of had the Shreddies'!!

Boring comments here from many people, NSC at its worst.

Basically, if you hate Spurs then you're saying they f***ed up and are a bunch of xxxxx, if you like Spurs you say they've made a good case.

Hello? Are we not all football fans? The players were poisoned and the closed shop that is the Champions League just got that little more closed as a result.

Arsenal will trousers another £25 million and Dein will continue to smile, and we'll all be persuaded to spend £60 per month on Sky to watch Chelsea win again and the rest of them try and dive and feign their way to 2nd.

This is the full article on the BBC Football site:

"Our chances were significantly reduced by the exceptional circumstances."

The Premier League said Spurs could delay the match until later in the day to give their players time to recover from illness, but would not allow the game to be played on another day.

However the police said they would not sanction a kick off time after 1700 BST - only two hours after was game was due to begin.

."

I don't support a replay but what the f*** did the KO time have to do with the OB ?

If Spurs are granted a replay then they'll have had 2 chances to finish 4th, and that isn't then fair on Arsenal.

The correct thing to do would have been to play the match the following day. Any advantage Spurs would have had by knowing the Arsenal outcome is still outweighed by the lingering food poisoning and the disruption to the match preparations.

Arsenal were always going to win, so it wouldn't have affected the match at all. And it's not as if West Ham losing a day's rest is more important than Spurs having a fair crack at the £10 million Champions League moneypot.

How is it that EVERY big decision taken by the football authorities is botched?

there were over 90 arrests when they played last season, I don't think the OB wanted the yids getting pissed up all day. Also don't they have to agree to the time and date of every match?

You really do speak an awful lot of sense, first McClaren for England, then not enough pressure put on Millenium Stadium reguarding the stolen Liverpool tickets, and this, all in one week

It is sad but if they allow them to replay the match every club will appeal to have matches replayed when they have any injuries.

Different kettle of fish if it was deliberate though.

True, but I think the club's complaint for now is deliberately, entirely separate from any outlandish suggestions of deliberate sabotage.
It's about the FA and Premier League's response throughout Sunday, and the significant areas of concern therein.

If the blame for the dodgy platters could suddenly be conclusively pinpointed on an "It was me, guv" Gooner season-ticket-holder or Dein family member, then all the clear-cutter, but that simply isn't going to happen.
Nor is a replay.
But we had to make a stand somehow.
f*** it, we're being ridiculed for something not of our making anyway. Might as well invite any that comes, and try to expose authority malpractices and embarrassments, into the bargain...!

As a neutral (er , with an Uncle who is, and was a season ticket holder at Highbury well before I was born...!) I don't think it would have been unreasonable for the game to be postponed. Not at all.

I been discussing this at work today, and as stated as above it seems most peoples view are tainted by whether they like Arsenal or Tottenham (or which they hate the most)

Somewhat exceptional circumstances, but what now worries me is that it opens the possibility that IF someone decided to "nobble" a team, they know that they could possibly get away with it knowing that the Premier league will force the game to be played.

Laughable ? .. really, with the millions now riding on games at the bookies ?

So much bollocks written and said regarding that if the same was to replayed Spurs would "know what they had to do..."

Honestly - that went out the window years ago with televised matches being moved, semi finals being played on different days (like tonight) and Championships being decided before the end of the season.

I won't stick my neck out here and think Spurs have a case, because the matter is complicated by the fact that West Ham have a Cup final to play.

.. but if I was a Spurs fan I'd be very pissed off.

I would agree the FA didn't handle it well (no change there) but it is such a dangerous road to go down.

What happens if five players are laid low with a 24 hour flu bug on the day of a match?

What happens if two players get injured warming up?

Should Birmingham City be allowed to replay the season as they had so many players out for such a long time?

I feel sorry for Spurs but they can't be allowed to replay it.
