Does any where know a scorecard online that shows you if the new ball has been taken, I can see we are at 80 overs when we came off - would be useful to try and knock these last three wickets off in the morning if it can be taken now

Two spinners were on before they went off - so I'd guess not.

They came off as the new ball was due and Brown was bringing his pace bowlers on. Essex were facing Briggs and Wells and were in little trouble so Brown had the choice of giving Essex a few easy runs or coming off. Bit of a no-brainer really
