I'd be interested to know how this goes please. I've tried three times. Every time I've ended up with bullets that tasted far inferior to Heinz If you're happy with yours, I'd be interested in the recipe.

Well the haricots took a lot more cooking than I expected to get the right bite. It was 12 hours soaking, 1 hour simmering in water then about 20-30 mins simmering in the sauce. So maybe I need to soak longer. Cooked for so long some haricots split and some “skins” came off. But it went down really well with the family and they had good flavour / texture so might give it another go.
