BBC News - Artemis: Nasa ready to launch new era of Moon exploration
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-62707359

Launch window from 13:30 BST

It’s a shame that the BBC article does not explain the context for NASA’s resurgent interest in the moon.

Nothing to do with science, everything to do with international politics.

These missions are a land-grab.

The romance and intrigue of these moon missions is lost to me unfortunately but the James Webb telescope mission is the opposite luckily.

Unlikely to be going today unfortunately. The engine chill takes two hours which is going to be beyond the launch window very shortly.

Cheshire Cat

The most curious thing..
Engines overheated.

I used to have a Capri that did that.

Well that was disappointing wasn’t it. They should have just launched it anyway. What’s the worst that could happen?

Spacex’s Starship due to have its maiden launch tomorrow. Launch window between midday and 2.30pm.

It’s the biggest and most powerful rocket ever built and is going to be spectacular (one way or another!)

The European space agency mission to explore Jupiter's moons for signs of life has taken off recently.
That's interesting for me, even though it will take 8 years to get there.
