Are rail tickets still "non transferable"?

Technically it is against the law to transfer a ticket

No issue at all man just stamped my ticket so it.can't be used again. Pretty simple really.

if it costs the same 20.50 to buy a ticket online and buy one from the station why did you buy one in advance may i ask?

As when i last booked online there was a 25% discount so went on and there was not, but thought as i had a hospital appointment on 14th i might aswell book for 15th i got a call this morning saying i could have my scan today so i went and hoped that, A multimillion pound company that's sticking prices up by 10% soon would show a bit of heart like most nice people company's would. even the south Eastern manager here said he would have changed the ticket. Any way got a nice inspector that has said its fine.
