The unions get nothing from us customers as all our money goes to the Government from this franchise's terms.

The union MEMBERS do.

Customers pay their money to the government for their tickets.
The shower of shite government then pays the shower of shite Govia.
Govia then pay the shower shite employees - i.e. union members.

So customers do pay the union members. So we have a shower of shite government, shower of shite TOC, shower of shite union and shower of shite employees none of whom could give a monkey's arse about the customer who actually pays for this laughable service.

Only the customer-led Judicial Review stands a chance of exposing this government's dirty little secrets and why they are bolstering GTR's failed franchise at the expense of the region's businesses and individuals, who they are quite prepared to see suffer with no end in sight. Still, there's no such thing as a society, right? Just pigs with their snouts in the trough.

Silly logic. Customers pay the company, who pay the staff. The staff then have the individual choice of joining a union. What would you have - staff not get paid at all in case they join a union?

By the same logic, your 'customers' / 'clients' (depending on what you do for a living) are paying for your car. And your food. And your season ticket. And your insular social political views. / membership of political party etc.

You might want to read and properly digest what I posted. I'll break it down into easy to understand points just for you :

1. Post #3044 - I suggested that the union members were paid their salary from customer receipts ..... they are - via the government paying Govia using said customer receipts.

2. Post #3046 - Yoda stated, correctly, that the UNIONS do not get any money from the customers.

3. Post #3047 - I stated that the union MEMBERS do get money paid by the customer .... which of course, indirectly, they do. Unless of course you wish to prove the money comes from somewhere else ? Maybe the fairies and unicorns are the bottom of your garden ?

So get off your arrogant high horse and accept that all FOUR parties haven't had the interest of customers / clients at heart in this dispute.

> The government just want to smash the unions.
> Govia just want to hit their financial targets without any care for their employees or more importantly their customers.
> The unions just want to do some anti-Tory willy waving.
> The employees just want keep their T&Cs as they are even if they keep the same salary etc under the new idea.

Not one of those four parties gives a flying toss about the customer.

Thanks to the unions not giving a toss about the customer ..... remember those poor sods ? The ones that pay the salaries of these union members !!!!

Out of interest, what did the unions have to do with last night's chaos? There was no strike, no excessive sickness. Just a lack of staff and stock which is down to GTR and their usual shambolic organisation.

Fine. As long as you are only moaning about the 8 or 9 days of strike action since the turn of the year and blaming that on the unions and not blaming them for the disgraceful service SASTA has offered for the rest of the time this year (which they keep blaming on unions and staff) and for all Albion games so far then at least we know where you stand.

For the avoidance of doubt, the utter pathetic 'service' ( not sure that's the right word ! ) outside strike action I lay squarely on SASTA'a doorstep.

Tried to get to the game last night from London Bridge, both Littlehampton trains were canceleld so couldnt get to Lewes, Brighton trains were delayed so I then made the mistake of trying to get as far as can so went to East Croydon which was just a nightmare. Ended up being there for around an hour before deciding to go home to Crawley and skip the game completely. Royally pissed off!

So...who is to blame?

Commuting from Ifield to London Bridge every day was making me miserable enough, but now I cannot get to and from the only outlet I have is making things a lot worse!

Having to get the train is ruining my life!

Only lying doctors can grant 'spurious sickies' as no doctor's note means the sack.

This "sickie"bollocks was put to bed months ago,the reason for lack of available staff is due to Southern not employing enough staff to cover the agreed timetable, the "sickie"nonsense is not even rolled out by southern anymore, just bitter, swivel eyed Daily Mail readers that cannot look beyond a headline.

So if the DRIVER goes sick what happens ? SASTA are far more short of drivers than they are of guards
