I'm sure SASTA are massively to blame. I'm not suggesting otherwise. However, the train staff are very much to blame too.
There are many stations in the SE that haven't got platform staff. SASTA are also closing all the ticket offices.
No problem, as I said THE HUNDREDS OF ON BOARD SUPERVISORS THEY HAVE HIRED CAN DO THAT TASK. It's really not as complicated as rail staff want us to believe. Their gravy train is approaching it's final destination. All change please, all change.
We're lucky to have someone like you who knows exactly what is going on
I heard it was THOUSANDS but I will BOW to your greater KNOWLEDGE

Are they going to hire new drivers and ticket office staff too? They're striking too because of this dreadful company.
The government needs to call in GTR's ownership and find a company that knows how to run a railway.
Well no, not drivers because they are a closed shop. That's why they can hold the country to ransom eh. Ticket office staff? **** 'em, absolute waste of time having ticket sales staff. They are grumpy, useless, uninterested squad of inepts anyway.
Any company that are worth their salt will be getting rid of guards and tciket offices anyway.

All forms of closed shops in the UK are illegal following the introduction of the Employment Act 1990
Rubbish the European Court banned compulsory Union membership in the 80s and I believe it was railway related
Friday looks like being fun
We are very sorry to let you know that we expect services to be severely reduced across much of the network on non-strike days from tomorrow (Friday), through the weekend and on Monday as a result of ASLEF's (the Drivers' Union) continued overtime ban.
Tomorrow, Friday, is the first day when ASLEF's overtime ban will be felt on a non-strike day. This means that Southern and Gatwick Express services will be severely reduced and, on some routes, cancelled altogether. We will put on rail replacement buses where we can. We urge people to check before they travel on the day.
Please check the Southern website www.southernrailway.com/strike for more details on Southern services affected and www.gatwickexpress.com for Gatwick Express services affected. We strongly advise you to check again on the day that you travel.
We're sincerely sorry about the delays, cancellations and disruptions to your services.
I love the last paragraph. Anything but sincerely sorry. I would rather them just say **** you we dont care. At least its honest.
In order to win a breach of contract case, you will need to establish that:
a contract existed
the contract was broken
the defendant is the proper party to sue, and
you suffered a monetary loss.
Presumably the RMT and ASLEF are still drafting their apologies, right?
