....and what's with playing without names on the back of the shirts?
Very rarely do in pre-season friendlies.

There may have been scouts watching for possible loan signings?
I'm sure clubs would already know what these players are capable of. Watching them perform in what was basically a training exercise wouldn't help anyway..
Then why not have names on the shirts rather than numbers?Squad numbers won't be nailed down yet.
That thought did occur to me - but if so why bring them on when the game was pretty much dead? Bung 'em on from the start if you want to put them in the shop window, surely. There may have been scouts watching for possible loan signings?

Give him time! It'll be a few weeks yet before he's forgotten!Surprised we didn't see our young 'forgotten signing' Josh Kerr feature at all.
Rested I think the term is
Surprised at the size of that crowd both home and away supporters.

Did you think it would be more ?
RESTED?? Fook me he never touched the ball with his hands on Saturday. He fooked off for beer after 30 mins
Thought it would be half that tbh.
Well, if you look at it logically, names would make more sense than numbers. The numbers will have to be 'translated' into names to go on the report anyway.Do they ever ?
The ref and officials need shirt numbers for subs, reports etc.

He's got to face the dangerous Pilchard on Saturday & avoid scoring two own goals.
I may be wrong but I'm sure I heard the reporter on sky that was at the game say that we played a behind closed doors game this morning hence the number of changes and development squad players in the team tonight.
