Very hard to watch

But end of the day we went there for a point and got it

Job done.

If they play like that in the last two games then we have every right to be livid

Of course anyone has the right to be livid...but should we be?

New manager, new to the prem, change of playing style, change of the old (hughton) guard, coronavirus, ridiculously demanding fans and yet we are all but safe, have scored more points than last season and play better football.

I, for one, will not be livid unless we somehow go down!

Worthing
Webster, Dunk and Ryan were very good.

Mooy, Gross and Propper also poor. Hard to see Gross playing PL football next season, games are now passing him by with regularity.

Harsh on Gross - did okay from the bench. The bigger concern is Propper at the moment.

How good was Stephens?

That became incredibly stressful but who cares now?

Well done lads

WE ARE STAYING UP!!!

Yep, the stress levels are now coming down a little, aided by a little Buffalo Trace and the fact I don't have work tomorrow. I had to rely on my 17 year old to shout when Soton moves broke down, such was the level of anxiety in the last 15 minutes. I had to stand in the hall as the tension was too much! By Jove, I love this football club!

So we go away to Southampton who in their last home game beat Man City and grind out a draw and people are moaning about the performance. Our fans are ridiculous.

Southampton are one of the form sides since the restart and we just got the point that almost guarantees survival and still you moan. Pathetic.

Best post of the night, maybe the season. Some of you knobs need to piss off and support someone else.

Agreed re gross.

I get bored of the gross bashing.

Yes he’s slow, yes he’s not reached the heights of the first season but the players around him have improved.

He still delivers 1-2 moments of prem quality in a game and that’s what you need in this league. Even if it is dead ball delivery

I did notice that Brighton didn't mess around at the back from goal kicks tonight. It was a straight punt into the saints half. Maybe Potter isn't taking any more chances. Good point. We were good first 30mins but after that it was relentless pressure from saints.

It was always going to get nervy tonight and so it was.

Now we can relax and play with freedom against an also on the beach Newcastle, in what is basically a pre-season friendly for 20/21.

The pressure is off somewhat now.

If the game tomorrow produces a winner, The loser will be shitting it.

You wouldn't expect either Watford with Citeh next up or West Ham away at Old Trafford next to win. So the loser may well be sucked into some last day drama.

What odds the draw which will suit both.

We defended like lions tonight, proud of the boys, Southampton are a very good side, if they keep Ings fit, top six next year.

Webster’s best ever game for us, I thought he was immense, looked a 20 million pound player tonight.

A couple of his long passes in the first half were sublime.

Maybe that and the inclusion of Murray.

Well I havent seen much of Potterball for a long time. More like Hughton but not as good. Great we are staying up but does Potter after 36 games have any idea how he wants to play or any idea what team he wants..

I think if you're playing in the prem you need more than 1 or 2 moments of prem quality. We are not moving forward with Gross in the team.
