Its a sad day if Harty is leaving the show. He is a LEGEND and an excellent host imo. I would imagine he is fed up with all the snipers and moaners having a pop and trying to bring him down. He is probably uneasy and has to watch his p's and q's now to a ridiculous extent after the absurdly blown up " Lickergate ". The fact he gets tense when someone says " bloody " which to me in not even a swear word shows he is worried about ANYTHING going wrong.

He is and has been an excellent and worthwhile addition to the overall Saturday experience and it will not be the same without him.

Pass a bucket someone.

Whats your problem today. Was it because you were OWNED by a 14 year old Boy ?.

I take racism seriously if the person is a racist. Harty is not a racist.

But you don't take racism seriously if it's casual racism then, it seems. How's that work out in practice then?

Harty has apologised about this already.

I know. And I'm sure it was sincere and heartfelt. Just like when he had a go at you on air. Just like he had a go at Yorkie on air. Just like he did about lickergate.

I wasn't. No it's because of your gushing responses lately, and your swamping the board with self important nonsense.

It did not bother me.

What? The racism? Clearly not.

I know people were bothered that Hawesy was sacked. I know Yorkie was bothered by his comments. It's becoming less and less the fan's phone-in and more and more the Ian Hart show. I think it's time for him to move on and good luck with whatever he tries his hand at.

Perhaps with the move to Falmer it's a good thing for all concerned.

Fair enough if thats what you think, but Vegster has said a few things that have been out of order, in my opinion.

And now he can't let my dad leave without more snide comments.

Oh, dear I’m sorry if I have upset you that much. But as Ian would probably agree, NSC is all about opinions and constructive argument. If you would like to list the few things I have said that you feel are “out of order” I will reply and explain what I mean in case of any misunderstanding.

However, you should also know that Ian’s early career was based upon selling the Gullseye fanzine which contained rumour, innuendo, gossip and on occasions came close to libellous. Indeed, I believe certain members of the club at the time tried to sue for that very offence. And, for a time, many of the writers had to hide behind non de plumes .There is an old quote “ The pen is mightier than the sword” but one should remember that just as a sword may have a double edge, so may a pen

P.S. "Can't let my Dad leave " ???? its hardly up to me if he stays or goes now is it ?

There is so very little on the whole program now about BHA as they tend to put too much emphasis,in my opinion, to what is virtually still non league football like Crawley Lewes Eastbourne etc that I would suggest that they give out the scores and have the interview with the mangers and then finish the show at 5.30 and scrap the phone in altogether, when Ian finishes next week.

Harty has done a good job over the years but i cant help thinking the phone in seemed better when the stand in presenter hosted it a couple of times this season.I think a change might be a good idea.

And that makes it alright because..?

I thought was a very low point for Harty. This is just my opinion but smacked of someone who couldn't bear not to be in the limelight telling everyone what he thought. The fact that he hadn't even been to the game that day but felt the need to go off on one kind of strengthens that belief. Just my point of view though.

Actually we were having a great day at the rugby when he recieved two texts which were abusive towards him and Micky, maybe he shouldn't have called Southern counties, but if he was that bad why did they let him on?

Think what you want because 6pm next Saturday i get my dad back.

Texts from who? Was this on the phone-in because if so then I suspect that they weren't particularly abusive considering the tight censorship that exists (as well your Dad knows) on that show.

Also, perhaps they didn't realise he was drunk when he called through and that's why they let him on.

I can understand you being protective and more power to your elbow. Time for me to bow out of this argument.
