You dont know that girraffe but even if so then great that is ancargument invfavour but i still want a democratic election. As i say land ownership is thecelephant in the room andcas i ask, why are you a fan ofcsomeone born to a job. Im a free market meritocracy fan myself. Just dontcget this celeb culture. Whatchas someone donecis more interesting to me

obviously this is too complicated for you, but the monarch is the head of state by act of parliament. if you object, petition your MP to put forward a motion to vote the repeal the various acts that established the crown. it will fail, i read this week that less than 20% of the population are interested in a republic. no, birth is not a great way to determine head of state, but when you consider many of those across the world and history who've been directly elected, you soon see its not such a bad idea. As for the land issue, you mention it several times so you'll have to explain yourslef. actually, please dont unless you learn to type properly first.

Spot on

Million people on the streets of London, street parties all over the place. Day belongs to the Royalists methinks

I should hope so, if a royal wedding doesn't get the royalist troops on the streets i don't know what will. As i have said before, i would rather live in a democracy and elect my leaders, and if you pro royals really want this rule by the unelected upper classes to continue, you must stop seeing all things royal as wonderfull and above criticism.
Let some fresh air in FFS, the royal cupboards are full of skeletons and corruption will prosper anywhere there is secrecy. Andrew is a crook, we pay for him but cant sack him, some democracy.
Anyway, it was nice to see so many people enjoying themselves on a sunny day, good to see British streets bedecked with flags and not have to worry about the EDL coming up the road. I wish the happy couple a great life together, i just fear another generation of rich kids that i have to pay for is about to begin.

Nice to see London full of people enjoying themselves rather than trying to smash everything up. I think today was a far greater representation of British people than the thugs who seem to think they speak for the majority & hijack every single protest with their mindless cowardly vandalism.

agreed. i am no staunch royalist but those two, as privileged as they are, are far more in touch with the world tan other royals. thet will be great for the country

Like Royalty or not......we are the best in the world at this type of occasion. Stunning spectacle of history IMO (and i am not a Royalist)

Lets have a look at this.
Firstly. We do live in a democracy where our leaders, the government, are elected.
Secondly. The Royals do not pass the laws of the land, they are passed by our elected Parliament.
Thirdly. The Royalist troops as you describe them, are made up by the people of this country.
Fourthly. If you want to get rid of corruption then you must scrap parliament and big business as both are full of corruption
Finally, You say that Prince Andrew is a crook. Crooks are those who break the law, which laws has he broken?

Those that cant form an argument seem to make up figures and hurlvabuse. Fyi ivexpect the windsors would win a vote but that does not negate the need for one. The land issue is well understood by those who follow current affairs and in essence the question is who has true title to assets such as buck palace and the vast swathes of land in the crown estate which is the largest landowner in the country. You, me or the windsor family? This however is just one issue, the main issue is the right to a vote on the monarchy. I respect your wish to be a fan of the royals but i expect the land issue to be addressed and the right to a vote to see who is for and !against.

We almost have the perfect balance now. I like the direct line from the Queen through Charles to William, and they are great for Britain's commerce and tourism and work hard for it. I do still have an issue with the hangers on such as Beatrice and Eugenie. What do they actually do to earn their privileges. All I see is a couple of wasters going from one party to another. Like mother like daughters I think. There dad isn't a stranger to a faux pas either.

Keep the guillotine gor a select few...

The allegation is money laundering of kazakstani money in a property transaction. It is an allegation that has not been imvestigated and no arrests made. An mp raised it in parliament

At this time it is only an allegation and until it is proven no law has been broken.

Um a law can be broken but no allegations investigated and/or proven! This howevever is moving off the point. You are a fan of a king and i a meritocracy. I respect your view and think most of the country is with you. B7t give us a vote and csncwe have our land held in the crown estate back please!

Have to say that in political terms it has been a landslide victory for the royalists or, in footballing terms, a 7(SEVEN)-0 hammering

.

Suggest this to your local MP. If it was put to the vote on whether the Royal Family should be abolished, I would suggest that it would be a Land slide in favour of keeping them. I must also point out that Kate comes from a working class family which makes her a working class Girl.

Kate Middleton is not working class you deluded fool.

Just goes to show that our Royal family is still as popular as ever. People have come from all over the world to join in this day of celebration. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
William and Kate are the changing face of The Royals. In touch with modern Britain and much loved.

I managed to escape the grotesque medieval farce (and the hordes of fawning peasants) by taking a trip down to your village PSB.

Amazing how abusive people get. If 5he royals win an election then they have won the argument. Should be a vote on it at every generalcelection. The land issue and who owns what was fudged when the inheritance law was made to apply tocthe windsors a few years ago. That needs sorting asap. As i say, i like the free market and a meritocracy, if you are a fan of people birn into a job thencask yourself why.

Out of interest, do you agree that all inheritance should be abolished and anything you acquire during your lifetime should, upon your death, be passed to the state?

Hi PSB, haven't spoken for some time, hope you are well.

Firstly. We do live in a democracy where our leaders, the government, are elected.
We don't elect our head of state or the upper chamber, that is not democracy.

Secondly. The Royals do not pass the laws of the land, they are passed by our elected Parliament.
So whats the point of them? they have power and you know it.

Thirdly. The Royalist troops as you describe them, are made up by the people of this country.
And your point is? where else would they come from?

Fourthly. If you want to get rid of corruption then you must scrap parliament and big business as both are full of corruption
Of course i want to rid this country of corruption where ever it is, it must be challenged where ever it is found and nothing is more secretive, and therefore more open to corruption, than royal affairs.

Finally, You say that Prince Andrew is a crook. Crooks are those who break the law, which laws has he broken?
To me, his goings on selling his house was outright bribery that would have got any elected person sacked, why did Charles get away with, some say, selling the state a forest full of trees that we allready own etc etc. Why? because we can not properly scrutinise what they get up to, even the house of commons is hamstrung by rules and protocols that prevent them even asking the questions that need to be asked and it is misplaced loyalty from royalists that allows this to continue.

I truely hope that William will be a fresh broom that sweeps away the worst of the present system, i guess big change is a lot to ask with Liz in her mid eighties, and charlie stuck mentaly in the mid 16th century, but i have great hopes for william.
