It’s a DREADFUL song.

Yes.

What it reminds me of is some post Beatles Lennon dirge where McCartney would have stepped in (in the Beatles) and said "eh, you soft lad shite, that's shite.."

The worst thing about it (beyond the comedy Lennon whine) is the attempt at a Ringo type drum fill in the middle, played in some parallel universe where Ringo turned up to play a drum fill to comply with a contractual agreement with Lennon who was contractually obliged to write a song about a Harrison record label.

It's natural B-Side would be a contractual agreement by McCartney to record a Stock Aitken and Waterman hi-NRG cover of the Frog Chorus sung by Bonnie Tyler.

It's appalling.

Simply the best, and anything else by Tina Turner.
Her voice really makes me wanna leave the room.
Can’t sing, can’t dance but made millions. Please tell me how?

Valerie by Amy Winehouse. She takes a pretty decent song and proceeds to murder it in public.

Beat me to it. Liam's vocals are awful, he really is an average singer. How he feels he's a credible enough solo artist to do knebworth is pure self indulgence.

You forgot to mention The High Flying Turds.

‘She fell, she fell, right under my spell
Oh now pretty baby, come on!
She danced, she danced, right into my hands
Oh now pretty baby, come on!
Be my butterfly, you and I will shake it
We can roll in at the top of the morn'
And if you feel the need, I'll send you God's speed
To meet your maker at the break of the dawn
Get out of the doldrums, baby, now
You liar, I'll set you on fire
Get out of the doldrums, baby, now!
Do your thing, on the beat of the bang
I'll put a melody inside of your head
No need to shout, what you bitching about?
I think those things are better left unsaid
She had a look you won't find in no book
And she smelt like 1969
You can blow my mind if you're that way inclined
All I know is I'm gonna make you mine
She fell, she fell, right under my spell...’

I don't get how anyone can just say "anything by the beatles"

Helter Skelter is slightly different to The Long and Winding Road for example.

It's not like they had one sound is it. Weird.

Driving home for Christmas.

It's become a running joke in my family that everyone now LOVES it even more for the sheer pain it causes me. They block me getting to the remote/radio to turn it off the moment the intro starts.

Lowest common-denominator, self-indulgent tripe which is only the song it is because Lennon was shot. I also find it difficult to take lectures on having no possessions from someone who moved all his worldly goods out of the UK for tax purposes as soon as he could, and on violence from someone who was allegedly a wife-beater.

Apart from that you don't mind it... :lolol:

My Vote goes to Dexys Daylight Brummies (I think that was what they were called) and the horrid noise they made called Come on Irene or something similar.

Red hot needles into my eyeballs would be preferable to listening to that shit...
