Because playing music when a team scores is cringy Americanised shite at its utter worst and most fans would hate it if we ever started to do it?

As for the original question, we should run out to GOSBTS (and not some bloody 'remix' of it either).

It is our song, it represents OUR club and OUR county, and there is no need whatsoever to change it to some here today gone tomorrow pop shite that any other club in the league could use.

Players, fans, managers and chairmen come and go, SBTS is forever.

and you are stuck in the dark ages ! time for a change, whatever it maybe

Will everybody reading this thread please read the post below from Frutos before posting, as he has said everything that needs to be said.

Mr Frutos, you are 100% perfectly correct Sir.

What's this tradition Bullsh@t. You do anything for 100 years and it becomes tradition, except GOSBTS sounds like something from a Wallace & Gromit soundtrack, so it needs speeding up and trancing out and after 100 years of that it will be tradition. As for music with goal celebrations, it goes well at Millwall and Norwich, so why the f*** not

It is a shame GOSBTS probably isn't that uplifting for players, but it would be a CRIME to change that.

Having said that, seeing post play-off final the players joining in is one of my favourite moments of rewatching that.

Good times.

Tradition is not Bullshit. Tradition is in fact a glue that binds people together regardless of their background by providing a mutual comonality. Traditions by their very nature are anchored in the past and we follow them today as they enable us to place our heritage in context and our consciousness.

You can legitmately argue that some traditions are shit, like say sprouts at Christmas, but when it comes down to it if they are not on your plate on the 25 December you have not got a Christmas dinner have you? That's why we continue to suffer sprouts.

As far as GOSBTS is concerned there are no other options, that is because there has never been anything else. Can you imagine Liverpool not having YWNWA or Southampton not having WTSGMI?

In your earnest search for progression and disregard for our clubs traditions why are you not considering an update to the blue and white stripes, maybe we could have a pink strip as it's a very popular colour these days. Why not refresh our name to something more inclusive like Brighton and Hove United or a more franchise friendly name like Brighton Bandits?

If these things kind of things change Falmer will be empty.

Point made, obviously people hold GOSBTS so close to there heart then it wouldnt be advisable to change it, but i seriously do think that a goal celebration song/tune along the lines of millwall's (use part of GOSBTS, although i dont know which part) should perhaps be at least trialled for one season at Withdean, and if the general consensus is that no one likes it then scrap it.
