It's just so annoying to keep churning out dull and insipid performances against teams who are out of form, luck and sitting at the bottom of the league. If we had a bottom 5 squad I'd accept it but we don't. You can understand the odd performance where we underestimate the opposition but this has been the case for a while. We all know what's going to happen before we play a bottom 5 team at home. We've managed 3 points from 12 so far with Saints, Ipswich probably having the poorest prem squads we've seen for years. To hear...'we didn't play with enough intensity' from Fab over and over without any change the next time is frustrating IMO.I

If we accept that the manager doesn't know how to get the intensity up, or hatch a plan to thwart the low blockers,
do you agree with the likes of Junior that we need to Get Rid of the manager now?

If so, who would you bring in?
(and none of that 'I'm not head of recruitment' bolleaux - if you want to become head of sacking you have to be head of recruitment - a comment primarily directed at @junior ).

It either has to be someone available who knows the English game, such as the recently sacked former managers of Luton or Southampton, or Wolves
Or some foreigner we have never heard of, who would represent a bit of a risky punt. Like Fab was.

It is all very well identifying problems but what are the solutions?

Counter intuitively, I like an Albion team able to first churn out a clean sheet.
Go a goal down against a low block team and it’s good night Vienna.

I’d be interested to know if Bmuff and Forest have had more home clean sheets than us this season.

Giving our forwards a chance of delivering the winner.
Our defending yesterday was good though, they never looked like scoring outside of a brain fart by Veltman leading to a pen.

Non penalty xG was 0.76 Vs 0.08

Get Ireola in now. Surely he'd jump from little Bournemouth to a bigger attraction like us and, by Premier league managers earnings he's the lowest paid of the lot!🤣🤣

Has been for several years now. Potter and RDZ also!
Precisely.
It has been said before but our disproportionally small North Stand and the resultant lack of in-stadium Sturm und Drang cost us.
Perhaps a 20% reduction in the magic that is part of the home advantage that exists statistically across the piece.

I'm wondering whether the design of the stadium and lack of noise affects us. In our first season in the prem, we were excited, we were quite loud, so our home form was immense. Since then, our home form has been awful.

I also suggest the team playing well gets the atmosphere up. Many factors come into play. The bigger the opposition, ref decisions, shithousery from opponents players and even how loud the away fans are! We can be very loud at times when the team start playing in adversity.

Yesterday was a fairly common theme over 6 seasons bar 2022/23. Albion’s failure to keep a clean sheet meant a non home win, including defeats. Would be interested to see our home clean sheet numbers for the 5 seasons.

But we seem to sing well away when the match is dull, why is it so poor at home?

You're right. No smoke without fire.

A big 'sack Fab' banner next game?

Or should we go the whole hog and call for Bloom to resign?

Or maybe just a bit of tutting will suffice?

I'm in camp tut.
I burnt my toast this morning. There was lots of smoke - but no fire.

Its a MYTH I tells ya.

This is the sort of twattish post and schoolboy logic that triggered my various posts yesterday and today.
I agree with you 100% calling knee jerk idiots like him out, this thread is not, and never has been, a thread about the manager. It’s a statement that we really should be better at home than we are, I had no idea that was such a controversial statement.
