Kuipers - please try and kick a ball NEAR one of our players

Cox - What the hell is wrong with him? A decent player on his day, but so far this season that day hasn't come. On the floor half the match, and woefully ineffective. Let's hope this Ifill rumour is true

Virgo - is about as effective in the middle of the park as Kuipers. SHOULD have been sent off, clumsy and creatively crap.

Thomson - ruuuuubbish. For too long he's got away with doing nothing. The game goes by him, he contributes NOTHING defensively or going forward.

McLeod - FAT bastard. No wonder he's injury prone when he looks like a small whale.

Front two - stop f***ing moaning and WORK for opportunities. Yes, there's no need for headless chicken displays, but try to get in the positions, rather than standing on the edge of the area the whole game.

ABYSMAL today - haven't listened to any interviews, but i do hope they've not blamed the weather. For the second game in a row they didn't turn up, and i imagine there were 1000 kids there of which many won't come back. Tested their keeper once. Rubbish. And the football was possibly WORSE than under Wilkins!

Brighton & Hoof Albion.

The reason I love Adams is that he admitted we were crap today. If that was Wilkins he'd have been making excuses left, right and centre and trying to think of ways to persuade us we were okay.

I agree with most of what you say. Thomson was poor today but he is a decent player most games. Cox has been shit this season. Virgo has got progressively worse in centre midfield. I think you're unfair on McLeod though - he looked good at Crewe and today had only just come back from injury.

The other player I'm confused about is Livermore - I'm sure he'll get better but...

Misssed him out.
Central midfielder - definitely
Left back - probably
Left midfield - HELL NO!

The one thig to come ut of todays game is that MA must realise that we need to stregthen the squad as it is not good enough. It is obvious that we do not have the players to bring on to change or win a game.

I admired Mickey's honesty after the match, but he did make a bizarre excuse. He said that perhaps a couple of players were finding it hard to get used to the Withdean experience. FFS, whatever next.

I don't love adams if he's going to say "we were crap" after every home game!

Thomson was rubbish. I spent about fifteen minutes of the second half watching him. He was shite. Touched the ball about twice, ambled about, never showed for anyone. Thomson and Virgo were dire, yet Livermore has not had a look in in central midfield.

Virgo needs to be dropped or play at either centre half or right back. Unfortunately, "smashing lad" is not better than our current options in those positions so he should start on the bench. WTF wasn't he taken off with ten minutes to go. It was very nearly a repeat of the Murray sending off against Barnet. I'm beginning to think Adams and Virgo are related. I'm going to start calling him Adams Virgo.

The football was possibly WORSE than under Wilkins? Come off it. It was MUCH worse than under Wilkins.

Think these two bits are harsh. Agree with the rest.

Think Mcleod looked good when he came on and helped to spark an improved second half.

Murray had a quiet game with poor service. Forster worked his socks off running the channels.

i do wish we didn't have to applaud someone "who runs his socks off" - when are we going to be able to applaud someone with "a touch of class"or "creative flair"?

as much as I like Forster most of his running is done outside the danger areas. For long periods today our best chances were trying to outjump the Orient keeper from a high pump forwards.

another bad day at the office

True , Micky tells it as it is. Wilkins would have said the 442 , 433 and diamond formations were matched by the opposition whereas McGhee would have blamed the state of the pitch.

Not saying we should applaud Forster just for running his socks off but the original post was criticizing Forster for not working. Personally I think Murray has a touch of class. It doesn't always come off but when it does it is great to watch (his neat lay off for Forsters goal at Southend for example)

We were a one-trick and PONY yesterday.

Every, EVERY ball up front sent the forward (usually Forster) wide.
HOW is he going to get goals from the corner flag??

So that left one attacker for them to defend against, and still some work for the man-on-the-ball to get it across anywhere near his partner-in-blame!

What is wrong with sending the football down the middle for our strikers, y' know like - where the goal is?

The 2 home games this season we have been utter SHITE. The football is woeful. Leyton Orient deserved to win by 3 or 4. Thomson is a

And While I am it Murray is a lazy bastard. ITs a shame we do not have another decent striker as he does not deserve the shirt.

My first game this season. I think clearly McCleod isn't match fit but seems to be a decent signing. Orient had a lot more movement and pace and this to me showed up Adam as he is not a centre midfielder. Livermore has a good track record there and was crap outside so he maybe the better option. Murray holds it up well and showed his class by setting up Forster at the end and generally Forsters movement was the best on show for us.
The most encouraging part for me is that Michel seemed back to his best and I felt this could be down to playing under a manager who knows how to create a defensive unit that suits him. Shame his distribution, which is important, remains the pits.
