100% agree about the Boxing Day chant, that was 40 odd years ago and I bet most of the people chanting it weren't there, give it up. Yes I was there, fabulous day but enough.

You are talking shit. What Boxing Day game against Palace were you there? Most clubs up and down the country sing that song about a rival club.

She wore, she wore, she wore a yellow ribbon
she wore a yellow ribbon in the merry month of May
and when I asked for why she sore that ribbon
She said it's for the Albion and we're going to Wember-ley

Wember-ley, Wember-ley, we're the famous Brighton and Hove Albion and we're going to Wember-ley

Old enough to remember singing them at the Goldstone. How old are you and does you mum know you are on the computer?
No but my carer types the words for me 😉
So if you recall singing the songs all those years a go
Why the dislike for our version of
Bleydon Races ? Shoreham road
Hark now here ? Boxing day
Cringe nah

In a pile of football shirts
True telling the twat who stands behind us in the NS. Consistently spews all the boring old chants which don't have much substance anymore.
Might be the same scabby dickheads who were behind us yesterday singing, well trying to sign, amongst other things “Chelsea Rent Boys”, “Die Die Bruno Bruno Die” and “We’re all having a party when Cucurella dies”. They were confronted and did stop, but they couldn’t have been much out of their 20s, vile scum on whom I would not urinate if they had caught fire.

I didn't go to games during the Coppell era as I was living far away at the time. Was  that song ever used at the time? I know it was sung after he left.

Definately not the same. He didn’t like us shouting abuse at Palace. Weak gimp.

I remember hearing it sung as;

P A L A C E
Stevie Coppell’s by the sea
With a nick back paddy whack
Give a dog a bone
Crystal Palace f-ck off home

I’ve not heard “If I had the wings of a sparrow….” for a long time. That used to be a favourite.

What was that song Radio Brighton used to play many decades ago on a Sunday morning ?

'places to go teams to beat look at that football ain't it neat.. Seagulls'

Like a folk style song. Haven't heard it since the late 70s.
