I will go against everyone else, I think there is a good chance he will be gone but it would have to be 4 million+
Half a million will get him........ but I am doubtful that he will be gone this window.......

Half a million, for a player who now has a number of England U-20 caps, has been an unused sub in an U-21 international, is aged 20 and has a contract until June 2018? Thank goodness you are not in charge of transfer negotiations at the Albion.

I find this injury to Solly very worrying as he's been out for ages and all they know and say it's a back problem but don't know what the problem is. I've had back problems and the doctors identified what the problem was with in a week and given the resources the club have plus the top specialist had their disposal but yet still can't work out what is wrong then something isnt right. Maybe they're waiting for a bid before transfer day and not risking him?

Why does anyone bother to value a player when there's absolutely no official news of him leaving the club?

Bit like having your car valued - after you've decided you'd like to keep it.

I would be appalled if the club sold one of its best prospects regardless of the fee that is offered. This is one sale that we would regret big-time should it come to pass. Can we not just keep our most talented young players, at least for a few seasons?

I was having an argument with a bloke in a pub the other day about what deja vous actually means. Perhaps some of the some genius NSC can help to settle it

Literally it translates "already seen", but is often used as an expression to describe those experiences where you suddenly have a feeling of being somewhere before, but haven't.

FRUIT OF THE BLOOM
i really dont get this thread at all, this rumour was created by a poster who was panicking at the time that we had sold a few players and at the time had got no one in, just scare mongering

obviously like all players if a silly offer comes in you have to take it in my opinion, but I don't believe there has been a serious offer from anyone for him.

Half way there then :0) 8m was an under valuation. If Walcott went for 7m all those years ago with a handful of appearances for Southampton in the championship. I can't see why March wouldn't be worth more in today's market.

Now i'm as big an Albion fan as most, but I saw a few of Walcott's 23 appearances for Southampton, including his debut, and on that evidence there is no comparison. Walcott stood out as a star in the making and had made his full England debut by the end of the season. Solly is very promising but isn't in the same league. Yet.

Of course, inflation may mean that some club is willing to bid some mad amount, and I'll be happy if TB puts that sort of valuation on him.

So he is worth 2/3's of Ashley Barnes's fee, even though he is an England U21 international and is a target of top end Premier League clubs and is on a recently signed longish contract.
Seeing as he is seeing a back specialist today, he might fail a medical if he was going.
I think you are spouting rubbish.

I'd love our youngters to stay and develope their game here and allow us fans to enjoy our up and coming youth for a while. When I said something isn't right then just look back at the summer when he played for England and was just dandy then when it comes to playing for us he's got an injury which no one can resolve. Maybe I'm being paranoid but I think we have good reason concidering Ulloa was injured in Spain?

Paranoia people. Solly is not leaving, there's been no bids and this entire thread is pretty pointless. Might as well start threads valuing all our players and get worried about them leaving also. This 'rumour', if you can call it that, is nonsense.

I know for a FACT that Solly does have a back problem. (I have a friend who is a second year scholar)

Well I've got a friend who is a third year scholar , who said Roberto Martinez is following Solly around in a dustbin on wheels. And that Ronald Koeman is hiding in the shelter at Moulscoombe station with a bag of cash ready to pounce .

I am still struggling! Could I have an example?
