thought he was excellent when he came on today after such a long break. Like a new signing and our survival could depend on him.

Interesting Potter preferred him to Maupay

How much longer is BDB out ?

It's just that early on in the season the BDB, Solly, Trossard left side thing looked really exciting (and slightly comical)

Superb free-kick (pity Martin wasn't in goal, as per Millwall last season). Fabianski also made another decent save from a terrific March shot before that.

Really hope Hailsham's finest pushes on for the rest of the season now.

They're two of our own,
They're two of our ooowwen,
Solly and Lewis,
They're two of our own

(And Webster is from just down the road in West Wittering )

Did everything you want from a sub, he and The Greyhound were excellent.

Solly looked sharp and confident, and most importantly the rest of the team seemed confident in giving him (and the greyhound) the ball as quickly as possible. Hopefully Trossard and March can share 90 mins each match for the maximum impact.

Solly was, is and always has been a class act.
Plenty of fans seem to think there is something lacking in him

I don't see it, he is several degrees more understated than Knocky, but to my mind has always been consistently a better player.

He has been missed.

Good to see him back.

Reminds me of the home game last
season (Newcastle?) when we were dire and he came on and changed the game for us.

He doesn't score enough goals and sometimes just goes missing in games but when he is on it, the other work he puts in on the field and just lifting the team and driving them forward is just excellent.

I have hope for Potter's psychological leanings to have the right effect on Solly. Always had his moments, but seemed to look around for instructions, with uncertainty and dimmed confidence. Potter is all about expression and a sense of identity, and I hope Solly finds both now, with some netbulgers as a result.
He made a huge difference, but the team as a whole in the second half were determined to go about their business.

I like the way he played along the front and always wanted the ball and was unlucky not to score twice
