Bold Seagull
strong and stable with me, or...
I thought he was great on Sunday.

There’s the rub - people will see (or focus on) the things they want to see.

He was decent enough. He was also our best player in the first half at Saints. People are entitled to ignore their eyes, to save them the energy of reassessing their opinions, if they want, I guess
I want to see a winger who sets up chances. I did see two good cross field balls but other than that his crossing is on the same level as our corners.
As I said he is a good back up defender but he is not good enough as a PL winger.
I would love to re-assess my opinion. Maybe I should just accept he’s on the pitch as full back cover because he does that well and to expect nothing once he’s across the halfway line.
As I've said before, he's a good utility squad player . . . . But has not stepped up, as we'd hoped, and I don't see him getting any better.
I didn't think Stephens was good enough for PL when we came up, but he stepped up, again, I think he's on his top step.
I hope we keep Gross, still the best dead ball/crosser in the squad, and tops our assists stats again. Despite being more of a squad player this season.
I look forward to seeing how Bissouma and Lallana work together.

The same should equally apply to you.
Come on, the boy's no good. He's probably safe in the squad because he keeps his head down, does nothing silly and will play anywhere he's asked. Potter likes a 3-5-2 and sees March as a wingback in that system who can cover both sides but he's a 4/10 footballer in any position he plays in. He very simply isn't very good and if we don't want to be between 15th-17th every season then we have to get rid.
And when we do, he'll drop like a stone through the leagues never to be heard of again. Like Gaetan Bong.
My dream was to see us settled in the championship.
15th - 17th is more than ok for me

If the just turned 26 lad was really no good, he wouldn't have 90 Premier League appearances under his belt having served under 2 different managers. There has been plenty of competition for his position, so your own conclusions are countered by both Chris Hughton and Graham Potter.
I seem to remember the same sort of things said about Oliver Norwood when he left us still aged 26. Perhaps he is evidence that get the right system you can improve your game even from the ripe old age of your mid 20s.
I guess our respective opinions will be answered in the coming season to some degree.
